June 2023 purchased a 2012 Dodge Durango from Lynchburg Mazda. The vehicle is facing catastrophic engine failure and it has been less than one year since purchased. The vehicle was a trade in. I have reached out to the previous owner the issues were in fact present and reiterated upon trading in the vehicle. The actions of the sale were preditorial. The General Manager has stated that he would never allow anyone in his family to purchase a vehicle with 100,000 miles the comment was belittling to a customer the general manager has openly admitted to conducting bad business via that bery statement the representatives of Mazda have been far from accommodating I was told by the sales representative that the vehicle had to be sold with a warranty I was never given the option to decline the engine failure is not covered under the warrantyBusiness response

We are aware of the issues that ******* is having with her 2012 Dodge Durango. We have had the vehicle since May 28th, 2024. Ms. ***** was told that ******** was requiring a tear down of the cylinder head due to an internal compression issue, they may send an inspector out, and ultimately they decide if a component is listed as covered or not. ****** ********** is a large, national lender and give us just a few options to use for VSC on there loans. ******** is one of them. Over the years they have proven to be a solid warranty provider for many of our customers. There is nothing predatorial happening, by Lynchburg Mazda with Ms. *****. In fact, it's just the opposite. It has been our first order of business since the morning we got the car. It's been internally discussed each day and has been made priority. She may not feel like that and for that we are sorry. However these things do take time as we navigate through proper channels. We will continue to do everything in our power to assist with the issue she is having, we will keep her informed along the way and our goal is get her driving her vehicle again.
