I met with **************** on Sunday, 8/13/23 came over to view my HVAC, My HVAC was working at its efficiency but no longer cooling my home, He suggested a replacement. I googled several and decided on a Rheem, recommended by ******. I was given an estimate of $7413.50, I gave a $500 deposit. I was approved for an 18-month interest free credit card by ****************. The first payment would be due in 2 months, 8/15/23, 2 techs came over to do the installation. After their departure, I noticed this was not the brand that I ordered. It was a Ruud. I called the techs and was told that is the same as a Rheem and the labels were used interchangeably. I called **************** he stated that the two were compatible. He sent some information, stating their compatibility. I texted him and told him that if it couldn't be exchanged, my old unit can be returned. No response. I contacted a lawyer. The company was sent a letter. The company sent a letter from their supplier stating the two units are the same. I continue to secure data from online stating the differences. The only contact I have had with the office is when I called on 8/11/23. I shared with whom I think was the office manager, what I was going through, from the beginning until now, including I am a disabled widow of a deceased disabled veteran. i have Lupus. I wasn't sure if I should be contacting them since I had a lawyer. I contacted ***** Fargo. I was asked not to contact the company while they were investigating. I will be forwarding all of my verification to ***** Fargo via their bank. I hope I am able to provide the same verification to BBB.Customer response

I have sent you all the information relating to my complaint. I have emailed the letter from my lawyer, stating that the case has not been closed. *** has not offered a resolution, The **** that was installed was not the one that I ordered. It is a cheaper brand, I have provided you with verifications. *** has advertised as a ******************* ******** I am a disabled widow of a disabled veteran and I do not "Feel Supported".

We want to inform you that OHA is not at fault in this matter, and we have provided proof to your lawyer and the vendor that the correct system has been installed, along with the necessary documentation. We have also attempted to reach out to you, multiple times and offered a courtesy refund of $1,700, which you declined. We take our customers very seriously and offer the best solutions to make things right. Despite the situation, we will continue to maintain the unit that you purchased from OHA since it is under warranty and provide the best customer **********************.
