I used to be an employee of this business, and Dr. ****** the dentist, fired me unexpectedly on May 8, 2023. I have had no contact with him since my termination date. After my termination date, my husband had his last cleaning with office on 7/31/23 and was given an appt on Feb. 5, 2024. I had called sometime in August or September of 2023 and canceled his dental appointment with the receptionist ****** **** and requested that his records be sent over to Dr. ***** ******, DMD in ******* **. She stated that she had canceled his appt, and would send over his records, I asked if I needed to come in and sign a release form, and she stated that wouldn't be necessary. My husband had received appointment reminders, but I had insured him that I had canceled his appt, and he shouldn't be getting appointment reminders. I went in the office on Tuesday 2/20/24 after I had an eye appt which is next door the office and spoke to ****** & ***** which are his receptionist and past co-workers of mine, well Dr. ****** was seated up front, and when he looked at me, he didn't say anything, and just turned his head. Knowing what had just happened, I told ***** & ******, that I would talk to them later, and told them to tell everyone I had said hello and walked out. Yesterday, 2/22/24, I had received a statement in the mail that we were being charged $30.00 for a no-show fee, since my husband had not shown up for his missed appointment on 2/5/24. I had called and spoke to ******, and she said that she would remove the charge. I later got a text message stating the following: Hey, this is Galax Family Dental, we talked to Dr. ****** about ******* no-show fee and he stated we could not take that off due to the multiple text messages he received for that appointment. ***** came to the office in July of 2023 for his 6-month appointment and made this appointment on that day. I feel like he is being vindictive about this, because I know for a fact, I canceled all my family appointments.Business response

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I'm not satisfied with the businesses response due to I was a patient and a previous employee there, and they are trying to charge me for a no show fee amount of $30, and I want it removed due to there wasn't an appointment on that day due to it was supposed to have been canceled last year when I called to cancel all of my families appointments.
