  I hired this company to provide Remodel services for a home I purchased at the aforementioned address. The company performed work on Tiles, Bathroom, Wall trim, crown molding, baseboard, refinish hardwood floors, painting and cabinets. The company did about 1/2 of the work they promised and then started to not show up and the work quality started to become subpar. They stated they performed work they actually did not do, they caused a flood in my home and did not tell me. We are currently 20 days past the date the were promising they would finish and they started not showing up to work. I have since found that the company does not hold a contractor, plumbing or electrical license and claimed to be licensed to perform these services. I recently fired the company for these reason. I have pre-paid them $8376.00 of the $11,500 that was agreed to finish the work. I am now having to hiring additional licensed contractors to finish the work, I estimate the left over work to cost $5000 to complete. Affordable Andy’s sent me a bill for $4300 and stated they were going to lien my home for This amount. I am looking for guidance on how to make sure no one liens my home and wanted to document this complaint with the BBB

  Hello I’m not going to state to much just facts here and excuse my language because there will be some foul words; I.E. that piece of *** ***** ***** waited till we were 6-8 working hours away from completion to tell us we needed to come get our stuff which he left on the porch in the rain, with stuff missing, and if I tried to come in the house he would trespass us!! He’s running a whole scam, even offered me $2,000 instead of the $4300 we are owed in exchange for a letter saying we were released from the job and paid in full, and I have proof of all that, cause what he fails to realize is text messages and the like can be used as legally binding documents in the court of law!!!. Which I have everyone we ever communicated I will attach. He also just screwed over a friend of mine that was there painting just this last week for like $400, and completely didn’t pay the cleaning lady that my friend found for him!! (He is purposely using unlicensed contractors and everyone  that I have talked to doesn’t know about the whole must be licensed for a job over $1000 dollar thing. If you go start an LLC in VA.,and follow the links on what to do next it doesn’t mention this at all either like it’s Virginia’s little secret) I ’m not going to say to much to incriminate myself but I have submitted to the board to go take the test for the HIC license with no response and have all my other ducks in a row to get it once approved  I am also protected by my LLC and carry a 2 million dollar insurance policy to protect myself and my customers!  However I do guarantee customer satisfaction and have lost my *** on jobs making it right when I’m not ran off hours away from completion as part of a scam!! Lastly I’m just a hardworking honest guy out here trying to take care of my family and do what I love in the process, and this ***** ***** ****** has put me in a position I can’t even pay my rent because that final payment was my bill Money!!! Also I have pictures of work at 95%-97% completion and him agreeing on what the punchlist was!! I also never lied to him about any licensing or anything for that matter and if you view the attachment you will see he was playing games almost right from the beginning. Which I didn’t see at the time but do now looking back!!  Trying to send you the video of all the messages between us and it’s to large. I will try to do it in pieces and send that way in another email. Thank you for your time and I hope this brings clarity to the situation at hand.   I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.   please see a link to a proposal that I received to finish the work that is claimed to be 99% complete. it is an $8000 quote. Also see an invoice for plumbing that I had to have fixed because it was either not installed at all or improperly installed by Andy’s Affordable Flooring. I am now awaiting the Electritian to arrive to fix wiring issues where we have where lights do not turn on and others stay on all the time and improperly wired at the breaker box.  ****************************************************************************** Regards, ***** *****
