7/3 I bought a Trek e bike,helmet,etc.from *******,in *********I came back and bought a $90 rack.I had asked@a rack for my car but, ******* said they could not install them, so, I bought one elsewhere & they ,REI, installed it! I went back to see if they could put the bike rack on the back of my bike.******* looked at me like I was a pain and said they were too busy( no one in store) and it would take a week!!I got a friend to try it, he had a prob. So,I went back and asked if they could install it today,7/3.************************* said they would but would have to charge me $40! I could not believe it. He said it was company policy! ***** talked me into having them put it on.I wondered why he seemed to have ******* back,then saw ****** was the manager.I left the bike there.****** called me later and said he could not put the rack on because my friend stripped the s**** insert and my recourse would be for them to pack the bike up, ship it to Trek to repair it.I said no! I wanted the $90 back for the rack,I just bought,he said no.It had a little scratch on it! So,I was out $90 too! ***** told me I could buy another rack that wouldnt have to be screwed in and hed order it fr Midlo store. I told him Id go over and get it. I go to ***** and **** could not believe how they treated me.**** easily put the rack on and said no way would they chg me to put it on.There was nothing wrong w/ the s**** or insert,took 5 minutes.To say the least, I was so angry,at ********,for lying to me,their attitude towards me and trying to rip me off!! I went back and asked ****** what was his game? How dare they!My friends will never shop at ***************************. I live a few blocks fr there but ,will drive all the way to ********** , fr now on! Is this something you all condone?Lying, acting like I was bugging them then, trying to rip me off!! I am an active 69 yr old woman and will not put up with this treatment. Ageism?I have stage 4 cancer,dont need this unnecessary stress!Customer response

Contact **** @ Agees Midlo who easily attached my bike rack and confirmed no proble w/ it!
I want a conversation with Agees headquarters re: their store and management , the Carytown store!
If they would like to reimburse me for some of my transactions , that would be fine too.

To whom it may concern,
I've read ************************ complaint and spoken with the **** St. staff present today, as well as our Midlothian store. It's clear to me that the situation with her bike rack was poorly handled and we would like to issue a refund for the cost of the rack (***** plus tax.) I've attempted to call ******************* directly about this, but was only able to leave a voice mail. If she could contact me, I'd be happy to issue that refund and answer any further questions she might have to the best of my ability.
