Applied for a vehicle loan and were approved. we were purchasing a used vehicle that had a lean at another bank. the vehicle has been purchased and is currently sitting now 34 days in because we are waiting for a title from the credit union so we can go to the DMV and register the vehicle. How long can it possibly take for them to pay another bank and get it? We have called the bank numerous times for updates and they have no idea. The lady I spoke with today said she does not even know how that works? She transferred me to Katie *. The load person and as always it went straight to voicemail. We are beyond frustrated and the lack of care and especially not being able to talk to someone and get the help is unacceptable.

Less than 1 star rating. Very poor customer service. I was never notified that my checking account or credit card were canceled. When I found out and tried to resolve and get my money from checking account, they said that the card hadn't been used in 2 1/2 yrs so they cancelled it. They instituted a $5 fee on the checking account which CAME OUT OF MY ACCOUNT with NO notification of such and when it was depleted they closed it. Supposedly they mailed notification, but I received nothing from them and I always open any mail from my financial institutions even if I think it's ads for something just to be sure. The rep just repeated his rhetoric and didn't care one bit about me, the customer. I expect that from large corporations, but not from community based credit unions. Granted, not much money in that account, but doesn't matter if it's $10 or $10 million....It's NOT THEIR MONEY. Very unethical and unprofessional. DO NOT open any accounts there!

Ms. ****, I'm sorry you had a negative experience with the credit union. You are correct, we are not a large corporate bank, we are relatively small and locally run. Unfortunately, we have experienced so much fraud with credit cards that we do not reissue them if they are not used for more than two years. The card is not closed, we can still reissue it if the member decides they want to use it again. Your original $5 share deposit was used up by inactivity fees. Every financial institution has them and ours is the least expensive I know of, $1 per month after the account becomes inactive for more than two years. This fee is put in place to recover some of the cost of the account. Even if not used, an account with a financial institution costs the institution about $25 a year in fees from our data processors and account statement producers. The $1 a month does not even cover the cost to the credit union. We would be glad to reopen your account and reissue your credit card if you would like to use the RVCCU credit card. We would also gladly refund the $5 in inactive account fees if you decide to do so.
