I will NEVER use advance auto parts again ever! I returned an item today with a receipt. When item was purchased it was purchased with a debit card. Same as cash, they received payment immediately not paid by credit. The employee who waited on me could not explain why my refund has to be a refund to my debit card and why I didn’t get the courtesy of immediate use of my funds like the store did when I purchased it. In fact he didn’t bother telling me it would take 5 to 7 days to get money credited back to my acct. that’s ********! It was cash not credit! Put me in a bind. Up to this point I’ve used advance for all my automotive needs but after today never again. 5 to 7 days to refund cash is ridiculous. Thank you for your feedback. Returns are put back on the same method of payment that was used for the purchase. Typically the refund takes 5-7 business days and can not provide cash back unless paid with cash.Review from Patricia W

My washer blade came off of my passenger side. I took it back up to Advance Auto Parts. The young man by the name of Joe came out with me to put it back on. He was very nice and very professional. He didn't just put it back on he showed me how to put it back on myself. That meant so much to me so thanks again Joe(sorry I didn't get your last name. 10/30/24Advance Auto Parts Response

Bought alternator with lifetime warranty at end 12/2022. Was not charging well so went back on February 2023 to mechanic shop on point mechanic where I bought and he replaced. Yesterday 9/5/2024 alternator dies not charging at all, had to jump battery in my car. Went to mechanic shop on point and he said liferime warranty is only one time replacement. That's not lifetime! I had to replace their defective alternator in less than 2.months and now he says advance auto didn't want to replace. He says he convinced them and got replacement but said was last time. Ripped me off 128 just to replace alternator labor. I expect a response from advance auto and get my money back so I can buy a good alternator not this junk they sellAdvance Auto Parts Response

Their website indicates free installation of auto batteries. Nowhere does it say they only free install batteries bought in their physical store. If you buy a battery on their website they will NOT install it. They use false advertising.Advance Auto Parts Response

We apologize for the inconvenience this caused. Our Team Members can install most vehicle batteries but there are some models that do require professional installation. Our store can not install a battery if it requires professional installation.Review from george m

Purchased a $92 Slime 12 volt electric outlet air pump from Advance Auto today. It struggled to inflate a small tire beyond 37psi and smoked at 42 psi. Returned it with receipt within two hours of purchase . Manager denied return saying it is company policy because I may have just wanted it for one time emergency use. Brilliant policy! This place is a joke now. I went in yesterday and the employees were on their cell phones as if they were more important than helping me. The guy Que has a bad odor problem and had an attitude, management can’t know how he smell. They lack knowledge or maybe they just lazy, I hope they close this location, or cooperate can’t know how this store location is being ran. Such a disgrace to the advance name. I’ll never visit this location again and I will definitely tell my community as well as my fellow car enthusiasts.Advance Auto Parts Response

Went to Advance Auto on 09 June 24 on **** ******* ********** ** ***** with an issue with my car battery which was still under warrantee. I explained to them that we had to jump the battery and that I had it on a charger that gave me a fault. They hooked it up to their worthless diagnostic and said then battery was good and they wouldn't warrantee it. After losing my cool, I took it a **********. They did a proper diagnostic and found the battery had a bad cell. I paid around $250 for the battery at advance auto which was still on warrantee and had to buy another one from a **********, again having to spend another $250 to replace a battery from Advance Auto that was less than a year old. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING, ESPECIALLY AUTO BATTERIES from Advance Auto. They have no clue or honorAdvance Auto Parts Response

Auto Battery bought here on 3/16/24. 5/30/24 Auto Battery dead. Towed car to ******* *********. ******* diagnosed problem with bad battery with minimal charge. 6/13/24 Manager at Advance Auto Parts/ *** ****** ** would not replace my battery. No refund. 6/14/24 Owner of store called me,stated “ you know how auto dealers are”. Our company policy is to not replace auto battery if there is still a charge on them”. I had to buy another battery- went to *******. I have had no further problems. Poor customer service and no motivation to assist with customer complaints at this store. Do not buy a car battery from this store.Advance Auto Parts Response
