Hello esteemed Better Business Bureau, it does comes as a surprise to see this complaint from Ms. ********* after the help we provided her. We are a used car independent dealership in Roanoke Va, we sell our cars "as-is" "where-is", our vehicles do not come with warranty or any service contract from the dealership, we sell all of the used cars on out lot in the condition they are found with all faults. Ms. ********* signed a contract which clearly estate our policies and that the cars as sold "as-is". Our business never made any promise to the customer nor did we give her any written or verbal affirmation of any type of dealer warranty with her purchase. As it commonly happens with used cars after daily use, her vehicle presented some mechanical issues and she came to us for help/advice. All of our employees let her know that she did not have a dealer warranty and that we could not fix her vehicle, we recommended her and suggested for her to take it to a reputable garage where her vehicle could be looked at, in the case that she needed a major repair we explained to her she could file a claim against her lender sourced third party warranty. The customer understood, she reached out to us several times after that and said that her car was not starting, she ran her vehicle since she purchased it for about 3 months without taking it to a mechanic or doing any type of service after purchasing which is something we always recommend. As a show of good faith and to demonstrate our desire to build long lasting customer relationships we sent an employee out to look at the car for her, we informed her what we thought it was and again recommended her to go see a mechanic and use her warranty contract if needed. We do not owe Ms. ********* any amount of money, please if you have any more questions or need any additional information let us know.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. They are lying she never tried to help the first time I had to keep asking and keep asking they kept giving me the run around it wasn’t even 3 months when my car broke down and they refused to give me my money back for a car that I can’t drive and they knew it was a lemon vehicle they were very rude and unprofessional never answering the phone getting an attitude hanging up the phone and being rude about my car they let me drive off the lot with no license **** didn’t look at my car properly he lied and told me it was my started the whole time my engine was bad they never responded to any of my text messages when I kept asking for help this business is very unprofessional they won’t even refinance my car he told me that I had to give him $10,000 to give the car back I took my car to ***** **** when I first got it he told me never take my car back to ***** **** because they mess up cars which isn’t true I asked him did my car have a tune up and was everything okay with my car he lied and told me the car was fine and he did a tune up when I went to ***** **** they told me I needed spark plugs **** lied once again and said he don’t think he did a tune up on my car after telling me he did they would tell me they would help with my car and never did the owner told me they never said they would help me and I miss understand what they were saying I gave this dealership 1600 down he also lied on my paperwork saying I gave them 2000 down I don’t understand why they keep giving me the run around instead of just giving me a refund for my car or refinancing my car! I’ve told them multiple times about issues they never do anything about it they are very unprofessional! If I knew the car would broke down 2 months after having it I wouldn’t have gotten the car!  Regards, ****** *********

Bought a used car with cash. Drove it for couple hours signed paper work paid for it. As we drove down the rd it literally did a death wheel situation causing me to go off rd. We called dealer took it back said their shop would look at it and fix it. Got it back 2 days later had to take to our mechanic. For 30 something days not able to drive our mechanic said all kinds of things hooked up wrong and disconnected certain places. We called and emailed on this telling them about the vehicle and danger for me driving and my wife and they said basically not their problem. We have put money and time into this and they knew how dangerous this was and sold us a flawed vehicle that took me off the rd numerous times. We want compensated for the repairs or vehicle turned bk in and every dime we paid given back. This is not the only complaint on vehicles with company

To whom it may concern, At Prestige Motors we sell our cars "as-is" "where-is" we do not provide any warranty or have any responsibility to a vehicle after its sale, as the customer stated he came and drove the vehicle and bought it, he did not find anything wrong with it at the time of sale, the same way we at the dealership saw nothing wrong with it before we listed it for sale. The vehicle passed a Virginia safety inspection, it performed well while on our care, however it is commonly known that used vehicles might present certain issues after being driven regularly, the customer reached back to us regarding issues with his car and we decided to take at look at it for him out of kindness and value for our customer relationships. We inspected it and installed if i remember correctly a sensor relating to steering wheel issues, customer picked up the vehicle and was satisfied at that time. It is not our responsibility to address any issues he might be experiencing but we are always willing to help reasonable customers. This customer only contacted us again to wrongfully state that we sold him a "lemon" car which is not true, used vehicles cannot be lemons and there is absolutely no lemon law for used vehicles in this state. Please feel free to reach out if need further help.

I bought a car from Prestige Motors in December of 2021 for a Christmas present for my daughter. Two days after She received the car the check engine light came on. I took to ********* for them to run a diagnostic on the car. They said it was so many things wrong with the car that they could not fix it. They suggested that I return to the dealer. The dealer said they would fix the car. I took it to them in December and they did not return the car until the end of March. He said they put a new engine in the car and would work fine. The check engine light came on again and this time the car cut off. I took it back to them and they said technically they did not have to do anything, but they would send it to the dealer because it was still under factory warranty. After having the car for three months they said that it was not covered, and they said they would get their mechanic to fix it. I just got the car back a week ago and the check engine light is on again. We have only had the car in our possession for about a month since I bought it in December

Anyone who is doing business with us enters into an agreement and understanding that we sell used cars "as is" "where is". When a customer decides to proceed with the purchase of one of our vehicle they are responsible for the car from the moment they purchase it. When a used car that has not been driven regularly in a while goes back in the road full time it is unpreventable that things will come up needing repair or replacement. This customer had issues with her engine after purchase, we out of our kindness and value for customer service decided to take the unit and performed repairs, all our expense, the vehicle was returned and shortly after had issues again, again we decided to help the customer and this time the vehicle engine was diagnosed to have internal failure so we decided to help our customer with the replacement of her engine and we covered almost all costs even though we did not need to. We are not required to do so and customer is aware. I feel as though we have been so kind and helping to this customer and still they are not happy. They picked up the vehicle with no check engine and drove away in satisfaction, I did not hear any complaints from them until this comment. We are not responsible to keep up with their maintenance and the check engine is likely on due to unrelated issue such as some sensor that has died or even a low voltage battery.
