Per esthetician reccomentation I purchased a package of 3 of ********* to address acne scarring which is very expensive, and from the very first treatment I did not see any improvement at all, when I did research, everyone said that some improvement shows after first treatment. Not only did my face not improve but it actually got worst, I broke out like I hadn’t in years (4-5yrs to be exact) so I was recommended by my aesthetician to get a facial to help with breakouts. That didn’t help at all and on second treatment I asked, what are the chances of this not working and she said that it was unlikely and that I should see results after second treatment, I broke out again so another facial was recommended, so when the time came for third treatment I told her that I didn’t want to proceed with 3rd treatment and that face from the scars to the breakouts is way worst than when I started coming to her, she recommended another facial instead and that she would talk to owner to see what could be done. After weeks of hounding her and asking if she had a chance to discuss with owner, she said that they decided to switch my treatment to a less expensive than what I paid, I asked if I could just be refunded for the one that I didn’t want to do and they gave me run around. In the end, I decided to give them a last try as they state that they pride themselves in making sure customers are happy but I have never felt more taken advantaged of in my entire life, they took my money and didn’t want to correct the situation, it is very unfair to pay thousands of dollars and have my face look worst than when I came in to see them. Owner or manager never even came to talk to me and discuss what happened.Business response

On Thursday, April 21, 2022, ********* ******* [********* *******], purchased a package of 3 treatments of the ********* Radiofrequeny Microneedling for the Face area. Though originally priced at $3000.00, the client received a discount of 15% Off the package, which was done as a courtesy (She paid $2,550.00). The client chose to provide payments through a financing service, ****** Payment Plans. As per our policy, discounts and ongoing promotions cannot be combined with ****** Payment Plans, as it is considered combining promotions. However, management extended the option to honor the special for her as a one-time courtesy. The client acknowledged the courtesy and proceeded with the purchase of her package, following a consultation with a service provider who explained the service in depth and recommended it as part of a course of treatment for her skin concerns. The risk associated with the treatment are outlined not only during the consultation, but within the consent forms (attached), which are signed at each visit, prior to start of treatment. A treatment cannot take place with acknowledgment and signature of consent forms, in order to ensure a client's understanding of what a service will entail, as well as its risks and required post-care.
Following her initial treatment, the client expressed that she experienced breakouts. Her concerns were taken into consideration and additional recommendations were given to address her concerns. In addition, a meeting between her service provider, the service provider's team lead, and management was set up to review ad assess her patient chart, treatment history and settings, in order to ensure that the service was done correctly. After confirming that the service was done in accordance to standard protocols, the best course of action in order to ease the mind of the client was to have the Lead Aesthetician take over and continue the remainder of her treatments, in order to ensure that she was in even greater hands, and to be able to address any further concerns she may have right away.
She continued the course of her ********* RF Microneedling treatment package. In addition to this, she also received a complementary ****** Medical Microneedling service (valued at $550.00) in order to ensure optimal results of her treatment, which client acknowledged as being complementary. Before and After pictures in her chart show clear improvement of her skin in the area of concern.
To our knowledge, our practice did everything in our power to rectify the situation and we were under the impression that the client was happy with the solutions and accommodations provided. As per our communications (attached), we had no reason to think she was unhappy given her positive messages, and appreciation of our promptness to answer any and all questions.

Customer response

Complaint: ********
I am rejecting this response because:First of all, I was not offered a courtesy discount on my services, the business was having their anniversary sale back in April and I took advantage of the promotion. When I decided to pay, the front desk mentioned that financing could not be used with discount but they honored the discount becuase I had expressed wanting to use the financing prior to applying and no one told me they could not be used and also, after looking in website, flyer and promotional email, it did not state that financing couldn't be used with promotional pricing. Financing is a form of payment not a promotion. Second, I did express that out of 2 of the 3 treatments I received, I did not see any results, but my scaring remained same but my face broke out really bad and worst of all I lost fat on my face when the treatment is supposed to plump my skin. I do understand that results vary per patient, however, no where in consent forms does it state that fat loss and acne would get worst, and that results may or may not occur, which is what happened in my case., instead of looking better I actually looked worst. When I expressed my issues I was told I would be contacted by owner or manager and instead all I got was a couple of text messages that offered a downgraded version of the treatment that I paid, even though I especially asked how that would be better than the other two treatments I had done. When I met with *******, I told her in tears that I couldn't understand how my face went from ok to really bad and she told me she would do 2 sessions of microneedeling to compensate for my last treatment, of which I only got one, then when I came for the second one she told me she would do ******** instead which was the treatment that didn't work in the first place, I let her perform the service becuase I knew already that they had read my ****** review and therefore they wouldn't do a good job to begin with, I knew I was being tested differently from the moment I walked into the salon and instead of talking to me and addressing the issue like mature adults, the owner chose to ignore me as a customer instead of facing the problem head on. I'm not a problematic person but I don't like being treated unfairly and being taken advantage of and this is exactly what this business did to me. If they really read the messages that they decided to attach to my dispute, they could see that on the messages all of my issues where asked and not addressed as I was given the run around and on cosmetic form does not state that treatment may not work at all. I am worst now than when I first started and I have pictures to prove it. The owner if this business is very irresponsible and she shouldn't let front desk handle issues with customers, she needs to learn how to manage and discuss herself so that everything is clear, issues do not get resolved over texts.
Regards,
