My Yorkie was 1 when she developed a health scare. Dr. ******** gave her several tests but consulted with another vet before she gave me a diagnosis. She was put on meds and prescription food. Dr. ******** NEVER ran any further blood tests. She's now 4 when I was presented with a major health scare that I feared would end her life. Dr. ******** was on vacation wo I went to an emergency vet who ran several tests to the cost of *********  The diagnosis was the same!!! The result was a change in her prescription food and was told by a vet tech that she should have been tested periodically after her first diagnosis to see if everything that was done previously was still effective. The emergency vet made a report to Dr. ******** at Bay Beach. She didn't call to see how was she doing when she returned from her vacation. I told the tech at Bay Beach that her lack of professional behavior was not acceptable!!!. I now use Animal Medical Center at Dam Mill (Dr. ****) where I not only found a professional medical staff who truly loved their work but their pricing was far better than Bay Beach. The original diagnosis and follow-up should warrant a law suit since I was left with a ****** vet bill since Dr. ********** treatment of Emma was far from professional. STAY AWAY FROM BAY BEACH!!!

On November 10, 2022 I took my dog to Bay Beach to have his teeth cleaned. It had been about 3.5 years since the last cleaning and that cleaning had no problems. This cleaning was really delayed because we put everything on hold due to COVID. I had been informed that a tech would do the cleaning unless teeth had to be extracted in which case a doctor would do the extractions. I was told I would be called if there were any extractions. I did get a call and the doctor said my dog needed 10 teeth pulled. This number really shocked me and caught me off guard. I put the phone on speaker phone so that my daughter could hear the conversation. The doctor said there were some cavities and some teeth were loose. My daughter and I were really hesitant about pulling that many teeth. So I asked if we could just pull the teeth with cavities and address the other teeth later. The doctor said she needed to get back to my dog because he was already under anesthesia and that the teeth needed to come out. With much hesitation I said ok. When we picked up the dog he was of course very groggy. On the way home we noticed when you rubbed his head you could feel bubbles. We called the vet and they said bring him back. We did and they explained about air bubbles and to rub them away. A little later we noticed my dog was limping. Called the vet they said bring him back again. We did. We were told the bandage during surgery might have been too tight and we were given anti inflammatories. The next day after the teeth swelling had gone down my daughter told me she saw the dogs mouth and it looked like he had no teeth. So, I called the vet to verify they had taken out the 10 teeth. Much to my shock I was told they actually pulled 20 teeth. I was very, very angry. With much hesitation they were given permission to pull 10. I would have gotten a second opinion before I let them pull 20 teeth. The doctor had no right to pull more teeth than she asked to pull.

Our baby had a swollen paw. On Sunday noticed a light swelling on front left paw, thought he had sprained it. Monday it was swollen a little more not much but no pain on touching and walking on it. Tuesday went to work came home and it was swollen really bad. In an hour it started to bleed. Called **** ***** but they were closed to emergencies, recommended Bay Beach. Called and they were open. Took 30 minutes to get there. Sat for four hours, our puppies blood was never cleaned off floor. ER Vet could not find why bleeding or swelling. Recommended antibiotic shot, then homecare of painkiller (opioid), antibiotic and anti-inflammatory.

When puppy was lethargic on Wednesday called ******** told it was okay due to drugs appointment made for Saturday. Thursday morning he was dead from a swollen paw.

Turns out the antibiotic shot can cause paralysis which Bay Beach ER never went over the side effects nor provided any information about the drugs. We lost our baby thanks to Bay Beach ER.

Contacted Bay Beach Er and was ignored.
