We had ********************* come and inspect our furnace because our furnace wasn't working on September 26th 2022. We had a full tank of oil. The furnace was red tagged and we ordered a furnace to be installed from *****, and removed the furnace. The furnace was ordered September 29th 2022 by S&H heating and the deposit was paid for $4,103. November 2nd 2022 the new furnace was put in and we paid $1,500.We called Suburban Propane and they said that they wouldnt take the oil back because they dont take returns of oil. It is up to us to sell the oil and that the oil was worth $5.35 a gallon. The total amount that the oil was worth is $1,008.72. We had to sell the oil because youre not allowed to keep oil in a tank inside that isnt attached to a working furnace so we had to remove the tank and the oil. ***** took oil from the tank from the old furnace September 15th 2023 and said he had to weigh it and itemize it before he paid for it. He said he would pay for the oil when he came back to hook up the new fuel source for the new furnace. He also said that he wouldnt charge for the fuel hook up, taking the tank, and would pay a fair price for the oil. ***** came September 15th 2023 and started to hook up the outside hook up for the gas. He took the oil from the old oil tank.S&H Heating workers took the oil tank and started to hook up the gas. ***** came October 11th and finished hooking up the gas. Despite the fact that ********************* stated that the last hook up was going to be included in our first full payment and he was going to pay us for the oil from the old tank and take the tank and this would be not cost to us, he sent a bill online of $1290 and a balance due of $740 on November 8th. Since then ***** keeps sending us a bill every few days.Business response

We are sad to here that ************************* is not happy with the work accomplished by S&H Heating. Never did S&H Heating say that the gas line would be included, that was her responsibility to due so with another company. As for the fuel price for accepting the price, we gave her a price and that is what she decided was fair for the fuel. We have attached her original estimate for her furnace, and we also attached the original estimate to show that the gas line was not on us along with the current bill for what she owes S&H Heating. We are a small business and we understand that every customer will not be happy.
