I went to my primary care provider to talk to them about weight and family history of heart issues. The provider requested me to do blood work. He stated to me in the office that he is going to just put codes in to get my insurance to pay for the blood work. I am a medical ****** and know that what was done is not expecting. I requested the claim to be rebilled with the correct dx codes. You can not bill obesity as a primary dx code. I told them this for months. Nothing was done to correct it. I told the office that this is not correct ans they need to remove it from patient responsibility. This was not done. I was then sent a letter of collections. I have called and messages the office to get this corrected. They actually told me that they will not rebill the claim. I then request my chart notes to prove that I have a family history of heart failure ( my mom died from a heart attack and had multiple ******) this request was not completed for almost a most and I was given some of what I request. Reading my chart notes was another story. No where was my concerns of family history was noted. I was this bill to be removed from my account.
