Car Toys ***********Hunter from this store DESTROYED my car. He ruined the paint on my roof and tore up my backseat. He didnt mention one word of this when I picked my vehicle up, I didnt notice until I got home and when I texted hunter to confront him he apologized numerous times and left me voicemails saying for me to not worry about it and that he would just refund the money from ACIMA. I told him that either way it doesnt take back the damage he did to my brand new car. He then blocked me where I couldnt text him anymore. A week later he starts calling me on the car toys phone number leaving threatening voicemails about filing a police report on me for theft, when he clearly told me for the inconvenience and him tearing up my car I didnt need to pay anything. Come to find out he told his manager that I wasnt returning his calls or text messages. I tried to relay this message to the manager and he over talked me and was abruptly rude. This is a very shady business and I will be filing a lawsuit for the damages to my vehicle.Review from Mysti H

They are a shady business that lies about the work they do. And changes the prices once they have your car. Had a voluntary Interlock device installed in a young persons car as a preventative. I was quoted $180 based on VIN number of the car. Once they had the car in possession it was suddenly $311. Called Company that sent them the device to instal and they called the Car Toys in ****** to tell them they quoted them $180. The Manager lied to them and said it wasnt a key start which it is. And claimed it was complicated When we picked it up and disputed the Manager claimed it is $150 an hour. Well that wasnt what they said. And from the time they took the car to when they called us was 1 hour. I have actual phone proof. So then the Manager said it was a complicated under the hood instillation. No it isnt! Yet another lie. Its literally wired to the steering in the dash. We could have installed it ourselves! They are scammers and liars. Car Toys Frisco is nothing but Scammers! We tried to do a good thing for a young adult to add a safety measure to a vehicle and Car Toys Frisco ripped us off.Car Toys Inc Response

I am sorry for the confusion. The in-store pricing guide does not include voluntary units and the employees used the information available to them. When the store manager saw your ****** review, he realized you were overcharged, and made the adjustment in our system to credit your invoice. He then left you a voicemail to follow up. Please reach out to the store and he will assist you in receiving your refund.Review from majid r

they had Uniden R7 on sale , I ordered one . it confirmed , 5 hours later it cancelled "Order #**** was canceled because of unforeseen circumstances and your payment has been refunded. "but it is available to order at full price !few month ago I went to store to buy alarm for my car, on their website they clearly said it has GPS module and was in the picture but on stores they said no you have to order separately do not buy from these losersCar Toys Inc Response

Please accept our apologies for the delay in response as we have been experiencing multiple program outages. Due to the program outage, it did affect the purchase pricing of our products temporarily. The outage causing this confusion has been rectified, but sadly we were not able to honor the number of orders we received in that period at such a severe discount.

I was charged $2,500 for a system to be put in my car and it had charges of $700 2 times and $350 1 time for labor alone plus the parts so I asked for a refund before they ever installed one item because I was waiting for my appointment the next week so 2 days after I paid I went back because I found a different place to charge me $1,200 for the same exact install. But since I haven't got my refund? It's been well over 3 weeks and I keep calling and getting the run around where my refund is and that it has to be a check refund due to the amount and I've received 3 different dates which have passed to when the check was supposed to be here and now the Issaquah store is blaming "*****" from coperate for the lack of communication and not getting my refund because to there end is all clear it's up to ***** is what I'm told. I took my truck in to purchase a alarm system and to have car toys on Eldorado in ******* install the system. They did the install and once I got home and got up that night to drive my truck the alarm system failed locked me in my truck and I had to crawl out of the widow and have my truck towed home and back to car toys to remove their faulty system install. I'm have problems getting in touch with their customer service department to refund my money for the towing of my truck. Thank YouReview from Mike F

Spent $ ******* on a system, had to take it back to the dealership 3 times of stuff that was not put back together properly, took it back to car toys and everytime they did not what to do. Headlight sensor unplugged, screws missing, safety locks not re attached, wire pieces under the floor mats, battery cover broken, radio features not reinstalled. This a BRAND NEW CAR....Review from David C

I am disappointed with this company. My car wont start and my stereo screen is black. I have taken my car to 3 stores. I have taken my car back 4 times. My steering wheel controls which we paid extra for dont work. My passenger door lock is missing. And the list is just go long to get into.Car Toys Inc Response

My husband took my car in to the dealer (******) get the 2 front windows tinted. When he gets it back the dash cam was unplugged, the sunroof was opened, the sport button was on, the seat was reclined as far as it could go (the tv was hitting my granddaughters car seat) and the radio was on a different station on blast. To say I was ****** is an understatement. Car Toys is who the dealer used. I went down to talk to whomever and all they could say was sorry. They did offer a free detail but I would not trust them with my car. My SUV has not even been broken in yet and had less than 500 miles and some punk is out hot rodding in it.Review from Scott T

Awful customer service review. Ive done all my business with car toys, never having any issues until today 12-27-23. I came in to have my car relooked at after having it in the previous day for them to install a usb connection into my lighter outlet. They also checked on the reasoning why my head unit wasnt operating properly. The service tech (who is the same service tech to have previously been the one working on my car) did a walk around inspection having me sign once completed. The inspection consisted of checking the lights, the windows and the door locks. After the ***** was performed I immediately noticed that my steering wheel controls no longer worked nor did my backup camera. When i spoke to the *** he said that the tech had just left for about an hour so i scheduled a drop off for this morning.This morning i go in and the first thing im told is that the tech documented that my backup camera was inop upon yesterdays arrival (absolutely NOT true) therefore they would like at the steering controls but that the camera wasnt working. I explained to the man that the tech wrote that in after the fact. Then the *** proceeded to tell me that they arent the one who installed all of this upon purchase and i said huh?? When you type in my phone number you can see ALL the work performed. I even bought an additional harness just to make sure all my accessories worked upon install. I HAVE NEVER experienced this type of response from this location ever!!! Ive done a serious amount of business with Car toys. In fact I had just had my wifes car brought in for a whole make over, my son in laws car as well right before xmas. Total of **** bucks or so in work. Cant believe that they are denying the fact that the mistakes made are there responsibility!!! Then to be called a liar, and be told by a Manager that they arent even the ones who did the work is A JOKE!!!! He is literally lying to my face!!! Disrespectful! Spent $1,300 on a stereo and speaker + installation. Had to bring up and ask for the "Free" back-up camera the was listed on the add that was included with the stereo I purchased. With spending that much money, they wouldn't even honor the advertised price for installation of the back-up camera (which on their advertisement stated $175, in which I do have a picture of their price tag that I physically took while in their store).They quoted me $250-300 to install a back-up camera. I just spent $1,300, and they can't honor what they're advertising. Also, I paid $90 to keep my steering controls (which worked just fine with the factory hardware). Once the aftermarket stereo was installed, I was informed that my Clock Spring was going out and that's why none of my steering controls work (*correction - they work sporadically and definitely not reliably). I won't be recommending this shop to anyone and actually will be advising consumers to go elsewhere.
