I purchased a vehicle from 410 auto sales on 4/3/2034. With this purchase, my husband and I traded in both of our vehicles. They did not pay off one of the vehicles until 5/9/2024, resulting in 2 late payments and a significant decrease in my credit score. Ive emailed and called the dealership and have not heard back from them.

      To whom this may concern,

My name is ***** Halvorson I happen to be the owner here at 410 Auto Sales. This happens to be a very unfortunate circumstance and I certainly have compassion for this customer. With every transaction that involves a trade in with a payoff we advise that the customer watches their account for the payoff to be satisfied. This situation was one that does not happen often but did, the payoff address to the lender was incorrect causing the payoff to be delayed. In a situation like this had the customer made a payment in the mean time while waiting for the payoff to be satisfied they would have been in good standing still. This not an ideal situation and I fully understand as I put myself in the customers shoes, it was advised to this customer that they should make a payment so they are in good standing with the loan. We work off 10-Day payoff amount at the time of sale, if the customer would have made a payment during this period they would have had a credit back to the once the payoff from us was satisfied. If they chose to not do that, that was their decision and I / we cannot for force their hand. Once again, I have compassion for this customer and the fact that their credit was effected however I think should be understood that mistakes happen and unfortunately this was one of them. We at 410 Auto Sales have never had this situation happen, I will advise our team of this and make sure this does not happen again, I would make sure we are double checking all payoff address before completing our deals. On the flip side I believe that the customer should be watched their account until it is paid off in full.

      Best Regards,

      Trent Halvorson

i purchased a vehicle from them for ***** and got a warranty with this vehicle, drove it for 3 days and the head gasket went, took it to a shop and the warranty covered only half the repairs, i was forced to make up the 3200 dollar difference, the repair shop i used explained to me that someone had changed the headgasket already and reused the headbolts. i requested all the maintenance information the car dealership had however they explained to me that they could not find the records i then drove it for another 5 days and it broke down again, i contacted the dealership requesting my money back due to the lemon law and they told me that if i fixed the truck they would buy it back from me for what i paid not counting all the repairs that there local mechanic shop missed, during its safety inspection that they claimed it had gone through this place misrepresents products that they sell to the publics and then puts them in a situation where they have no choice but to buy another car from them i still have the dealer plates on this truck and now can not use it the first time it broke down the warranty said that there was a discrepancy with the miles, i talked with the owner and he said that that was his staffs mistake, the second time it broke i took it to a dodge dealership where it was explained to me that this truck is in very bad shape i would like theme to pay me for the repair cost of ************************* again plus 1000 for the new tires 9500 for a vehicle i hade to trade in 25 days after purchasing due to a blown motor with a reputable car dealership

      To whom this may concern,

*********** purchased a 2012 Ram diesel truck with 180k+ miles. This truck had been inspected by a local mechanic shop, the Warranty would not work on the truck if we had not performed a vehicle inspection while we had possession. The allegation that we could not find the inspection is simply untrue, as a matter of fact I sent a copy to the warranty company. Unfortunately there was an unforeseen issue with the truck after the sale which happened to be the head gaskets as *********** stated. The **************** did its job and paid for a substantial amount of the repair. *********** was responsible for a small portion of the head gasket job after the Warranty portion. A majority of the remaining $3,200 were what you can consider to be preventative maintenance. The Warranty does not cover maintenance. Consider, the mechanic shop that *********** originally took his truck to repair the head gaskets, oddly enough the truck broke down 5 days later and now deemed to have a bad motor at a Ram Dealer. Could the mechanic shop have done something wrong with the head gasket repair that potentially took out the motor 5 days later? They were the last ones to work on the motor.. Fast forward, we gave *********** the opportunity to trade back in the truck with a bad motor, sure we had to take it in on trade for a lesser dollar amount however to make up for that we sold *********** a new truck for our cost. This seemed very amicable to both parties as *********** was able to drive away in an issue free vehicle and we here at 410 Auto Sales have a truck that needs a motor at the cost of about $10,000.

Sorry for the long response, this was a convoluted situation. I feel as though we could have pointed the responsibility of the bad motor on the mechanic who replaced the head gaskets, however we took responsibility and helped ***********. Ultimately an unfortunate circumstance for both parties however I do believe we here at 410 Auto Sales did things as right as we could. We apologize for the troubles you encountered *********** however we hope you are happy with your new truck.
