Good Day my name ***** and I have been supported by BSS for four years! I was referred to them by a friend. I am completely satisfied (100%) with the technical support that I receive. I mean, 24/7 reliable support! I have never waited more than a minute or two to get connected with a technician! My ******** own a now archaic 11 year old HP Pavilion Desktop. We are elderly so we enjoy the ease and compatibility of running ********* Windows 7. Another-words, learning new software at our jobs is enough for our "Learning Curve." Much to our friends surprise - Window 7 can still be efficiently operated! Of course, sometimes the technical challenges are advanced. I am impressed by how well the technicians work together as a team to meet these rare challenges. We could NOT run our lives and business's w/o excellent technical support team at BSS. We will continue our ongoing contract with BSS and are surprised by the customer support rating of 2. My rating of Basic Software Solutions is 5.

I too was scammed in the name of Basic Software Solutions. Don't know if it's this company or someone using its name. Got a virus message on my computer while surfing the web. Directed me to McAfee. I sensed it might be a scam and instead Googled PC *****. I was taken to a fake PC ***** site. They didn't accept my credit card and the virtual assistant said I would be called by an agent. The agent identified himself as being with Basic Software Solutions, said PC ***** could not be loaded on my computer, and instead downloaded a Vipre Advanced Security program on my computer. I was charged $505.43 for a lifetime subscription. When I figured it out, I went to the real PC ***** site which had no problems. Still trying to sort it out.BTW: the Vipre programs said I had no issues, but the "agent" came up with an ad scam virus or something.If this company is doing this, they ought to be ashamed. If it's someone else in their name, they ought to track it down.

Similar experience as *****. BSS technician claimed to be an Avast employee and that he needed to take control of my PC to provide refund of Avast Premium Security annual fee. Once he took control of my PC he started identifying what he called intrusions through my firewall. He then started identifying plan options and was very forceful in recommending that I accept the 5-year plan. I kept asking questions with regards to the refund and why a 30-day option wasnt available. During the time BSS was working on my personal PC, I received an email from Basic Software Solutions LLC on my office pc asking if the issues with my Devices have been successfully rectified. At this point, I asked the technician if he was really a BSS technician, which he responded that BSS was a subcontractor to Avast. At the end of the session, I was saved by my bank that put a hold on charges. Ive responded to both ******************* Team and ******************************************* Solution via email and havent received a response from either. After discussing the episode with office IT team, I was advised to replace my personal PC with a Windows 11 PC and upload McAfee LifeSafe. Most of my data is backed-up on an external hard-drive that wasnt connected to PC during the intrusion. Yes, *************

I think I was scammed by BSS.. *********** claimed to be technicians for Avira (security monitor), and I permitted BSS to take control of my computer to eliminate "trojan horses". Instead and without permission BSS installed Genie and may have gotten access to my passwords. After I consulted w my local computer guru, all that BSS installed was deleted and I changed passwords. In retrospect I never should have let BSS control my computer. I paid BSS close to $300 and requested at least a partal refund to no avail. Live and learn.
