I am writing to bring to your attention a distressing incident that occurred at Kingsgate Carwash on May 28, 2023. My experience at this establishment was marred by a fraudulent charging system and unresponsive service, which I believe warrants immediate investigation.Upon arriving at Kingsgate Carwash, I attempted to use one of the manual car wash slots, following the specific instructions displayed. The instructions stated that the initial charge would be $3, with the option to add an additional $0.25 for extended time, if desired. However, when I swiped my credit card, it displayed an approval message for only $0.25, and no water was dispensed. Despite multiple attempts, including pressing the "complete" button, I was unable to initiate any functioning car wash cycle. This issue persisted even when I tried using different credit cards.Concerned about potential charges for a service I did not receive, I left the car wash. To my dismay, two days later, I discovered multiple unauthorized charges on various cards. When I attempted to contact the business directly, the provided phone number redirected me to a sales office, which claimed to have no knowledge of the car wash operations. Furthermore, subsequent calls were met with dropped connections. Additionally, the appearance of the card-swiping machine raised suspicion, suggesting the possibility of credit card information theft from unsuspecting customers.I firmly believe that Kingsgate Carwash is engaged in fraudulent practices, unlawfully extracting money from customers. I kindly request your immediate intervention in this matter to protect consumers and ensure that the appropriate authorities, such as the police, investigate this establishment thoroughly.
