I paid ****************** per ****** request, in advance of work that he was suppose to do on my property, clearing my bluff/view of trees in October of 2022. He was to obtain a permit from ************* prior to beginning the work and unbeknownst to me he did not get the permit prior to starting work. He was shut down by the county and promised to resume work once the permit was issued.**** has made one excuse after another as to why he hasn't done the work he was paid in advance to do.I've had enough of the run around and told him that I do not want to do business with him and would like a full refund, to which he agreed. However, he chose to only give me a partial refund. He still owes me $1000.He is incredibly unprofessional and unethical. A true charlatan.Business response

I have worked in ************* for 25 years and not obtained permits for my clients. That isn't my job. An outside person was hired to obtain the permit and I was Okayed by the Geo tech to began work . Apparently the Geo-tech had not confirmed with the county and the permit had not been finalized, So the job was shut down until approved. Once the permit was obtained we started working again, but her property had not been surveyed properly and neighbors were upset, so we stopped working. Unfortunately we wanted to stop the project until the matter was completely resolved and this client was not happy with the time frame it was taking. Her and I did not clarify that the refund would be in full, so I deducted the $1000 for the work that had been completed. Due to this clients lack of satisfaction with this whole project, she has been refunded another thousand dollars, which gives her a full refund. I would appreciate it if the inappropriate language and name calling be removed from the complaint.Customer response
