I fired the law firm on 7/8/24 and they have still not returned my retainer. I have spoken to them numerous times every week since then and they keep promising "within 24 hrs". Now they are ignoring my calls and requests for my money to be returned to me along with an itemized receipt. I will look to sue them in court if they do not return my retainer soonBusiness response

************** was erratic and has been verbally aggressive and abusive to my staff. There were multiple times he called the office yelling profanities at our staff. This was unacceptable behavior. At the request of **************, we communicated with opposing counsel to arrange for the opposing party to pick up her personal belongings on Saturday, July 6th at the family residence. We advised ************** that this is not a good idea because he was out of town that weekend. It would be better to have him or someone supervise. However, ************** insisted on this date.
On Saturday, July 6th, ************** called and demanded that we contact opposing counsel because the opposing party showed up with people he did not know and had covered the cameras. ************** became highly upset that no one would take action while all offices were closed, opposing counsels and ours.
Furthermore, after ************** retained our services on May 24, 2024, we immediately filed court documents in less than a week. We tried working with him but to no avail, because of his continued aggression and yelling of profanities directed at our staff. He fired us in July. He complained of delays but our staff was out for scheduled vacations from 7-22 through 8-16. We do accounting once a month. When we returned to the office in August, we processed his partial refund from his initial retainer along with an itemized invoice. This was sent to him via U.S. Mail on August 27, 2024.****** Soriano, Jr.
