  My husband and I hired Aurnar Construction on March 21, 2022 to build a cover for our patio. We paid him a 50% deposit upfront to acquire the building supplies, in the amount of $4,994.65.Work was to begin towards the end of April, we had not had any communication from him as of April 26, 2022.He finally contacted us on May 1, 2022 stating there was a delay but he had us on the calendar to start work May 18, 2022. He did not show up on the 18th. We had to locate him through his girlfriend who I found on ********* We had sent emails to his personal email, business email, texts to cell phone. NO RESPONSE!On June 9, 2022 we emailed again, he claimed he was waiting on the engineer getting the permit finalized. I contacted the ****************** at this time, there was never a permit filed to begin with.June 28, 2022 We emailed all the accounts he has and stated it was taking far too long and we wanted a full refund. He told us he could do that. July 19, 2022 Sent additional emails asking where the refund was. No response!August 3, 2022 I sent a certified letter asking for our refund. He has yet to respond to the postal service to pick it up. They've left two notices at his residence, as of today 8/18/2022 On August 9, 2022 He emailed my husband telling him the refund would be arriving this week, it has not. His business web-page has been deleted as of today. 8/18/2022
