I came in yesterday to get my dog looked at for his toe nail that was bleeding. The vet said his nail was split and they needed to sedate him. I paid $163 for his exam and medication. I get a estimate for almost $300 for hie broken nail sedation.. Today I take him in for his procedure. They call to tell me after the fact that his toenail isn't broken. That they did a xray with out my consent to tell me they're gonna charge me $125 more. Now he has a abscess. Funny thing is before the other lady came to talk to me she said that they should've called me first well the next lady said we dont do that we don't want to keep him sedated long yeah ok 2 different answers . So why couldn't they figure this out yesterday? Just because my dog is a little excited you need to put him to sleep for all that? I feel like I was scammed out of my money and the lady at the office wouldn't help me. So I had to pay $275 which it should've been nothing in the first place. She could have sent him home yesterday with a antibiotic and his pain meds. I'm never coming back here I do Not trust this place anymore. They lie to you just to get your money.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! This awful clinic charged my husband $418 to get my cat treated for ringworm but they didn't even get the medication he needed. They tried to charge ** an extra $170 for a test that he didn't need. We had confirmation from another vet that my ****** kittens had ringworm. They refused to provide him a medication because I refused the $170 test when I already knew he had ringworm because he was exposed. They also could have clearly seen the ringworm under a black light but they refused to test that way because it wasn't "accurate." There's absolutely no logic at this place. If a cat is exposed and clearly has ringworm under a black light, then it's obvious he has it too. Absolute imbeciles run this place. I will NEVER bring another animal here. Awful.

Date: 11/15/2022 Cost: $926.17 We brought our sick cat to ******** as returning client. They found a bladder stone and thought it could be caused by cancer. It was heartbroken for us. We asked the doctor many questions and tried to figure out what to do to save him. On the next day, the doctor sent us to ER. When the front desk lady of the other clinic was reviewing the email from Sorrento, I took a peek. ******** wrote the male client is extremely difficult to work with. I was shocked! I couldnt recall any part of being difficult. Our cat is dying! All we did was to ask questions and get help. They have no sympathy? What happened next made me angrier. They wrote us prescription urinary food for our cat. I purchased it and uploaded the prescription on Chewy. Sorrento denied it on their end! We sent them an email to just ask them why. They wrote back saying weve been bad client and they'll no longer serve us. I was shocked again! We felt mistreated and discriminated at Sorrento. We dress casually and we are minority, but its not the reason to be discriminated. If a business keeps a discriminative culture like this, youll lose more past clients. They refuse to provide service to their client while knowing the cat is very ill. It seems like a code of ethic problem. Also, their price is ridiculously high. We didnt pay attention to the bills before because all we cared was to provide good care to our pets. But after seeing other vets, we realized their price is doubled, even tripled, for the same exams and medicines. They charge $300+ for x ray, but the other vet only charges $150. They charge $75 for 2ml Gabapentin, but the other vet charges $25 for the same dose. I need an explanation and an apology. Why do they think we are difficult? Why do they refuse to provide service to us? Why they denied the prescription order the first time? Why their price is so high? Did they overcharge us because they didn't like us?

On Aug 31st, 2022, I had a last-minute (2-hour notice) that my dog needed surgery d/t a severe infection to his surgical hardware. I dropped him off at Sorrento for the mobile surgeon to perform a Surgery that my dog's Vet, ***************, could have done. The mobile vet offered to drop off the correct equipment/tools. He declined. *************** told me previously it would only be the cost of anesthesia to remove the plate. He was WAY wrong. Per the practice manager that was only if *************** did the procedure, which he did not state. The procedure cost $2100 (roughly the same price to put it in on 1/25/22). Most people don't have that amount to drop at a moments notice. I asked if I could make 2 payments within 8 days. The practice manager refused and became hostile. She said corporate doesn't allow it. I asked her who at corporate did i need to speak to, She shook her head and said, there's no one. Basically, lied. She told me it would be best if i not come back. After being forced to pay in full, the practice manager brought my dog out. He was half sedated. She started yelling at me about ****** prescriptions while she was holding him. I had to state twice that I didn't need one of them because it had already been filled at the pharmacy. I asked her to stop yelling at me. She was angry that she had to remove the charge from my bill. I asked if I could get a 30-day supply of 2 pain meds for my other dog until he can be seen at the end of the month. They have refused stating its against the law which its not if the practice has seen the animal in the past year. They also wrote a response to my review on ****** stating that I was "abusive." This is slander and defamation of character as it was quite the opposite. I would like that removed as well as a public apology. They not only have been abusive to me but shown animal cruelty to a defenseless senior dog who has intermittent spinal paresis and cant stand or walk without those medications.

I had an extremely negative experience with Heartfelt Veterinary Hospital. We signed up for the monthly pet plan and paid every month for our two dogs. We let Heartfelt know that we were not going to renew our membership because we were moving and that wed call to schedule an appointment for our final visit. We had not used any of our benefits for the year & needed an appointment to be able to redeem everything we had paid for. When I called to schedule an appointment, 2 months before our plan ended I was told that there were no appointments available. The person I spoke with was extremely unhelpful to the point of being rude, making me feel uncomfortable, and was ultimately unwilling to work with me to get me an appointment for my dogs. We have since reached out to ask for a refund since Heartfelt was unable to fulfill their end of the agreement and give us an appointment. It has been met by Heartfelt, as represented by the manager Kimi, with complete resistance and utter lack of taking responsibility for not upholding their end of the agreement. A few months is a reasonable amount of time to see a vet, even on the weekend. Getting an appointment had not been a problem until we said we were not renewing our membership. Come to find out many others have experienced difficulty scheduling appointments. We had to reach out multiple times just to get a response & when Kimi finally responded to the email, she seemed unwilling to listen to our experience or even believe it. She seemed intent on keeping the money we paid, while having made it impossible for us to schedule an appointment to redeem the services we paid for. We reached out to the parent company, People Pets and Vets and received a letter from their legal department saying they would not be refunding any money. My request is that we receive a full refund ($1320) for the membership of both dogs.
