  ****************** performed a physical exam and said he has a level 3 heart murmur and the ONLY reason that could be is a tear in his heart valve. She said he needs an x-ray immediately and I authorized it. After the xray, she came back in the room and said his heart is definitely enlarged, he has fluid around his heart and lungs, and he is in heart failure. She also said I should expect him to go downhill fast and then recommended I pay for a rush radiology reading, to which I agreed. After waiting hours for the radiology report while being completely in shock, devasted, sick and confused about what was going on with my dog, ****************** called to tell me that the radiologist read the report and GOOD NEWS its a false alarm! She said my dog does not have an enlarged heart, does not have fluid in his lungs and heart, is not in heart failure so I am not going to lose him in a matter of days. She added since nothing is wrong, there is no reason for any type of medication. ****************** is a seasoned veterinarian (15+ years) and was previously at ****************** and there is no way a medical professional of her stature could not be familiar with a basic procedure as reading an xray. This wasn't looking for something small that needed an expert. This is a basic reading and from the size of my dog and his rib cage, and with her experience and my having been a patient at the clinic for around 3 years, she did not misread the xray . She purposely she trumped up a $65 office visit for a minor cough to 10x the amount.
