On May 12, 2022, Better Business Bureau recognized a pattern of consumer complaints against JJ Moving and Storage, LLC regarding billing and service issues. Customers allege JJ Moving and Storage, LLC received their move from a moving broker, who had already provided an estimate based on the items they are moving. Consumers state after JJ Moving and Storage, LLC was finished loading all items into the moving trucks, they then raised the price drastically and requested an upfront payment before they will complete the consumers' move.
Consumers allege that JJ Moving and Storage, LLC is difficult to contact. Consumers state that JJ Moving and Storage, LLC does not show up to pick up or drop off on the dates promised and the timeline is often extended by weeks. Consumers state they are not provided updates and cannot reach JJ Moving and Storage, LLC to see where their items are. A customer has stated that JJ Moving and Storage, LLC took their items to a local storage unit without educating them and they only discovered this by using the tracking device they placed in a box.
Upon delivery of their items, consumers allege JJ Moving and Storage, LLC demands the remaining payment or threatens to hold onto their property. After paying and receiving their items, consumers state many items are damaged and missing.
On May 20, 2022, BBB notified the company of the complaint pattern. To date, the company has not responded to BBB's request to address the pattern.
