Transaction date: March 16, 2022 authorization / March 18 confirmation / Transaction total: $128 Modern Conscience is a shop that specializes in restoration and replacement parts of well-known furniture designs. I initially ask a person named *** who responds to the customer service emails about finding the proper chair base to my *********************** upholstered Fiberglass arm chair. He said that an Eiffel base would fit it perfectly. He said that if it did not work out, I could easily return it. When I tried installing the base after receiving my order, it was clear that the base did not fit my chair. I sent *** a message about this and a picture showing that it did not line up properly and that there is no way to make it work without the chair breaking/failing. I requested a return in the email. I did not get a response so I followed up on April 11. Again, no response so I followed up on April 14 and no response since that email. The shop's phone number does not appear to be in service. It just seems that I'm being stonewalled despite the assurance I could return the item. I just want the shop to respond and to honor the return either in exchange for the correct base or a refund. Vanessa, Please read your e-mails. We sent you multiple e-mails offering help and you ignored them. Our last e-mail was sent to you on April 20th, with no reply from you. We have not 'stonewalled' you. We do not have a phone number, you likely found the phone number that YELP has posted online in order to extort and harass Modern Conscience for financial gain. Because you never replied to the e-mail we sent to ****************, it seems that you no longer have access to this e-mail. Please provide a valid e-mail address so that we may continue this conversation. We also offered you a full refund in which we would pay for the return label and you ignored that and instead filed this BBB complaint. It's not clear what you want, as we have offered both a replacement base, and a full refund with return, both options were ignored by you. What do you really want??
