On August 29, 2023, Hawiyyah provided a name search for me at a cost of $1.33 CDN. I provided my Mastercard to cover this cost. That search was the only service I requested Hawiyyah to perform on my behalf which I was prepared to pay. However, on August 30, 2023 the same credit card was charged an additional $26.82 without my authorization or notification. Additional monthly charges continued to appear on the same credit card for September 30, $26.72, October 30, $27.37, November 30, $26.89, January 27, 2024, $26.66 for a total of $135.46. At no time did I request any further services from Hawiyyah. I made several attempts to contact Hawiyyah by way of chatting on their website. This led to no action on their part. At some point towards the end of November 2023, I got through to Hawiyyah and they agreed to refund the additional charges to that point. As a result of that complaint, Hawiyyah did not charge my card for December. Thinking that the matter was resolved, I waited to receive my January 2023 credit card statement to see if my August, September, October and November charges had been credited to my card. Instead in January Hawiyyah put through a further charge of $26.66. I finally decided to cancel my Mastercard on February 28, 2024. Incidentally, Hawiyyah attempted, on the same date, to put a charge through for February which fortunately was declined by Mastercard. Clearly, Hawiyyah attempts to enlist customers for services that at no time they requested. After reviewing complaints on your website, I found a submission that mirrors my complaint completely. I would ask that you request Hawiyyah to return the sum of $135.46 to me. Hawiyyah does not follow sound and honest business practices. I hope this complaint and your publishing of this matter prevents other consumers from being exploited.Business response

Please allow me to explain the charges associated with services selected to your account.
Since all ********************** subscriptions automatically renew to prevent service interruption, trials that were left unchanged, were charged on the service's renewal date.
I can confirm that this subscription has already been disabled on Feb 29, 2024 This discontinues all future charges for Hawiyyah. we already refunded the money, please note that the money may take from 5 to 10 business days to be in his credit card

I did just one name search and it was fee of $1.09 but they continued to charge my **** card USD ***** from 2021 July to **** Jan. never signed up with them. this shows on my credit card HAWIYYAH* ************ HTTPSWWW.****, WA ***** USD @ ********Business response

I can confirm that this subscription has already been disabled on January 20, ****, This discontinues all future charges for Hawiyyah. Upon reviewing your account, I see that this matter has already been handled with a Hawiyyah ************* representative and an electronic refund was processed back on January 20, ****, to the credit card on file. please note that the money may take from 5 to 10 business days to be in your credit card.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.The amounts disputed have been refunded to my credit card.

I can confirm that this subscription has already been disabled on May 24, 2023 This discontinues all future charges for Hawiyyah. Upon reviewing your account, I see that this matter has already been handled with a Hawiyyah ************* representative and an electronic refund of $19.25 was processed back on May 24, 2023 to the credit card on file. please note that the money may take from 5 to 10 business days to be in your credit card
