  In August 2021, we met Nevada Odin, Owner of Asgard Construction. We contracted with him on 9/15/21 to do some extensive renovations on both the master bedroom and bath, as well as the kitchen of our home. He came and did a complete walk-through and took great notes about what we want done. He told us that the work would be able to begin at the end of September 2021. We signed a contract, and paid him $14,625 as a down payment. To date, December 23rd, 2021, no work has been started. We have contacted him repeatedly with minimal response. He has told us he has had some health problems and has had to be in ******* for treatment, but there has been no substantial conversation, other than for him to tell us that the job would be starting after the first of the year. We wrote to him about a week and a half ago, and said if he didnt respond to us by December 22, we would just prefer to have our down payment returned to us and find a contractor who would follow through. Yesterday, 12/22/21, he responded to say that now it looks like the work wont start until the spring of 2022. we feel like we are just being strung along at this point. I have seen multiple other reviews of people whove dealt with him and have been scammed by him, losing money in the process. I regret not doing better research before we contract it with him. I dont want to hurt this man, especially if hes experiencing health problems, but he has not dealt with us in a professional nor timely manner, and at this point we would just like our money back if possible, but are not sure how to go about that.
