On Saturday, June 10, 2023, I took my 2009 ****** Cube to the Golden Rule Brake shop on ****************** Ave for a shimmying (shake) in the front when you apply the brakes coming off of the freeway or braking from any high rate of speed. After waiting an hour, I was told that I needed brakes, control arms, alignment, rotors, and drum at a cost of $1036.43. I was not offered the six months payment plan although I had asked about it. I found the people I dealt with were not ****** friendly or helpful, the small waiting room was very cold, and they had a plug-in air freshener (somewhere that I couldnt find) that was overpowering the small space. After more than 3 hours I left with my car, a massive headache and sick to my stomach because of the air freshener. On Monday, June 12th I drove to work and noticed that the shimmy was still there. In addition to that I almost had to stand on the brakes to come to a stop because they were like standing on a sponge (squishy). I called Golden Rule and was told I needed to bring it back in, so I made another appointment. I was told that I had to have my car there by ****. I returned on another Saturday at **** and checked in with the front desk. They told me that they would get to it as soon as possible. Almost an hour later they pulled it into the bay. I explained the issue and was told that they might not have bled the brakes. They did the realignment to the back wheel, but I didnt see or think that they did the front. My car is a front wheel drive. When I left there the brakes were so touchy that I barely tapped them and almost went through the windshield. What I discovered was that the technician had moved my car seat forward and the brakes still were not right.I paid a lot of money and did everything that they told me needed to be done, because if I had not the warranty would be null and void. In good faith I paid the $1,036.43 even though I could not afford to. I believe that they should make it right. Thank you.Business response
