"Completed" a remodel. Found out that he covered things up. Did not get permits as he put in the estimate. Said he was going to come make things right, never did. I made several attempts during the service to talk about progress I didn't like. Took WAY longer than stated. I tried to be understanding and work with him. He called me several times saying his wife was leaving him. Stated he was going to sleep at my house. Again, tried to be nice and understanding but I paid over $50,000 for this remodel and was promised many things that weren't followed through. I messaged him with several things I didn't think was done and he kept saying he would fix it. After several attempts, I just said I didn't want them to come back unless I was present. Then services were dropped. I tried to get him extra business as he complained of financial issues and only having family work for him. He left garbage. Dogs peed and pooped in my house. Told them I didn't want them in my house and he continued to bring them in. I'm just very disappointed.Business response

When I took on this job it took much longer than expected due to the mess when we removed the paneling to replace it with sheetrock. Her contract says that she was responsible for getting permits and I would pay them.
My dogs had not peed and pooped in her house. They were kept outside and when they would try to follow me in I would immediately put them back out.
She fired us before the contract was finished and has not paid the full amount. I did not pursue her for the amount remaining cause the job had not been finished.
She reached out several times after saying she would allow for us to come back. Each time I had responded and told her I would be happy to do so. We could not find any days that she was available.
Her last message to me was canceling a day she said she would be available for me to come back cause she would be working. I had let her know that when her schedule allowed I would come back. I have not heard from her again until this alleged complaint.

As for the permits, Juan charged me for the permits and at NO POINT was it ever discussed that I was going to be getting the permits. Plus then Juan said that he didn't need to get permits which has been attached. Yet it was on my contract which I pointed out to him. For the dogs and pups, yes they were in my home. He claims only for a few however it is not likely just a few. And even if true, pups and dogs can pee in a matter of seconds. I kept trying to be understanding but slowly started to feel like I was being taken advantage of. Juan did communicate that it was a lot of work and that it would take longer. He blamed a lot of the mistakes on his employees as why it took even longer. But a boss will see better results when present and leading by example. Juan would be there for a few and then leave and there were few days where I saw him there the whole day. Juan is correct with contacting me and me having to cancel due to work. After talking with my mom and friends, I was told to be careful with allowing them back into my home due to the deceit and lies. I was even told by one of his employees that he said that I was beaten and battered and needed people to do jobs for cheap. While I can understand that he was trying to do within a budget, do not use me as that is unprofessional and quite frankly untrue and disrespectful. As Juan mentioned the job being bigger, he should have told me he was unable to accommodate due to not having enough staff. There were times I spoke with Juan directly about using my belongings, leaving garbage, and his staff smoking Marijuana while on the job. Again, I wasn't going to make too much of an issue as I was AGAIN trying to be accommodating and understanding. I am not expecting a full refund but something to be done as now I have to hire another contractor to fix the things that were not done correctly or fixed at all. I left sticky notes and told Juan and showed him. At this time, I'm not necessarily comfortable with Juan and his team coming to my home.

I’m sorry that the work is not to the homeowners expectation. We don’t assume that it would be since we have not completed our work. We were told to terminate our work in October at that time we were working towards completing the work. We were in the process of completing our pick list items most of which were all the customers complaints. At no time have we not wanted to complete the work. We have never charged the homeowner for permit fees. The outstanding balance is currently 2884.76 the permitting fee estimate was 1000. Per our contract interest of 25% is charged on outstanding balances currently that interest is 4327.14 since October when the contract was terminated by homeowner. We never received payment for installing door or for the cost of the door. We offered free backsplash and window trim and other free services for the delay in work completion. We have not pressed on reviving payment because we understand that the work has not been completed and she is dissatisfied. We are truly sorry for the frustration we are more than will to come to a fair resolution please let me know what we can do to resolve this matter.Customer response

There is no outstanding balance other than the 1,000 from the permits that were required. I have receipts of all payments including the door which was not completely used. I gave Juan and his "team" a lot of leeway and felt very much so taken advantage of. I terminated the contract as it was paid in full except the 1,000 and now there are magical fees and what not. I have the contract which was signed. These "extra services" were not discussed before being installed. I gave Villacon my full trust and was completely manipulated by Juan. I was told there would be a digital design of my kitchen which never happened. And there are several other things that were mentioned in previous complaints that were ignored by Juan. I just feel like everything is just a joke to him and that I am a single mom that got wooo'd and given a picture in my mind that definitely was not delivered. I do not trust them to be in my home. I gave them the trust and they completely took advantage. I am going to need some sort of compensation for the lack of work.
