On the 18th of August I dropped off my wife's rose gold amethyst and diamond ring for repair of a loose stone. At that time I picked up her silver tanzanite ring. The repairs were to be completed by the 24th. When I went in to pick up my wife's ring. They attempted to give me a completely different ring a 5 stone silver tanzanite ring. When I brought it to their attention, that they had mistakenly given me the wrong ring. I was told I was a liar and that the ring that they gave me was the one I brought in . I know the ring I brought in very well. It was the first ring I ever gave my wife 18 years ago . Unlike the ring they gave us that I had never seen prior to the 24th the ring I brought in had significant sentimental value.Business response

****************** dropped a ring off in our possession on August 18th at 12:17 pm. I have attached a copy of the receipt given to ****************** on that date and that time which is time stamped. I have also attached a closeup of the image taken at that time for more detail. ****************** picked up another repair he had in our possession at the same time. ****************** returned on August 24th at 3:34 pm and left with the ring which he had dropped off. He later called and informed us that he had not received the correct ring. We told him we would research the situation and get back with him. We take every single item we take in with immeasurable care whether it is a 10$ silver ring or a $50,000 diamond. He returned the following day as we were investigating. He insulted the associate who took the ring in as we assured him we would look through every single item taken in that week. We keep images of every item we take in, and if it was switched we would have record of it. ****************** remained heated as we assured him we were looking through every possible scenario. He left at that time. To be completely thorough we pulled security footage of the entire interaction between ****************** and his associate which clearly shows him presenting the ring that is documented in the files attached. ****************** returned and I sat him at a table and proceeded to show him the time stamped photo along with the time stamped security footage. He claimed we switched the picture, which is not possible in our system without a record of that change. We never called ****************** a liar, we have been transparent and willing to help clarify this situation. We are a locally owned family business that has a record of doing right by our customers for over 45 years. I also have a copy of the security footage of ****************** if needed.
