  I was recommended big horse law through the divorce lawyers for men and that was my first mistake. The lack of professionalism at big horse and associates is unreal. On three separate opportunities, they failed to file the notice of appearance to even represent me, all while charging me for every email, phone call, time spent by themselves reading whatever etc.... But they literally never did the only thing that they had to do to start the case, I was embarrassed in front of the judge and my ex. They made me look very unprepared and are trying to charge me for the whole thing. After numerous back and forth emails on June 22nd. In an email they stated that the check for my full retainer was already being mailed back to me. I called today with my wife on July 10th and they still haven't mailed out the check and I do not have representation for my son. I am being taken advantage of and I want my money back.

  We had heard great things about ******************* at this firm. First red flag was that we did the consult with ***** and the next time we heard from the firm we had been pushed to Amber ********************** without our knowledge. We continued to work with her and all I was trying to do was fight an out of state parenting plan for more time, I was not opposed to the move because I knew I wouldn't win that, just to change her proposed parenting plan that came with it. Something as simple as that took ***** and her firm EIGHT months to "complete". I actually lost time with my son before he moved because of her. Most of the time it took us calling/emailing/texting MULTIPLE times to get a response from anybody there which was unprofessional in itself. One time we went TWO MONTHS without a single response from anybody. I thought they dropped me without telling me. When we did actually get to talk to ***** she seemed more concerned with helping the other party who did not have an attorney, even though I was her client. She filled out my simple parenting plan wrong multiple times that took weeks to fix since I never got responses. ***** also didn't show up to a hearing I didn't even know I had which made me and the courts look like a fool, oh but she still charged me for that. Once we finally got it done correctly, she still filed the wrong plan with the Judge and had the Judge sign it. Again it took weeks to get a response about their mistake. I ended up having to spend money on another retainer for a different attorney all together which I never should have had to pay for. That attorney got everything fixed and finally completed in only 3 weeks. When I went back to ********************** with my complaints and wanting the remainder of my trust fund back, ***** replied once and then crickets after that. They basically STOLE money from me, a single dad. I still have not received my own unused money back, plus I felt like I should have been compensated for their mistakes & having to find a new attorney.
