My husband and I began buying leather furniture from Hayeks in ****. Then again in, ****, 2020, and 2023. Our repeat buying is a testament to the quality of their products, customer service, and just having an all around wonderful customer experience. I highly recommend them for any leather goods. The owners ******* and ***** will not disappoint you.Review from Kay L

The worst buying experience ever. Sat on the perfect demo sofa in the store. Bought it. When delivered at 7;30 PM. I thought they had made a mistake.Called the store next morning and said they delivered thr wrong sofa. My feet did not reach the floor. ***** told be to put a pillow behind my back. I said no. I wanted him to pick up the sofa and let me trade for the demo sofa. He said 'Not going to happen'. He said he would modify the cushions, but the expert would no be available for 2 weeks, We took the cushions out and had them modified. Now my feet reach the floor, but the sofa is not comfortable like the demo. Called and he said to walk on the cushions to make them softer. I am 81 years old and do not want to take a chance of falling while trying to soften my cushions. ***** said I could hve the demo sofa if I bought a $3000.00 matching recliner. The sofa cost $3500.00. One months social security for the 2 of us. NOT HAPPYHayek's Leather Furniture Inc Response

We take all our customers concerns seriously and want to do what we can, within reason, to rectify the situation.First of all, we are so sorry to hear you are not happy with your shopping experience with us. This complaint comes as a surprise, seeing as how when we last spoke you were very satisfied and happy that we did all we could to accommodate you. In response to your review, it is necessary to state the following:1. In September 2022, you custom-ordered a sofa of the same style that you sat on in our showroom and ordered the sofa in a distinct color of your choosing. 2. In October, we received the sofa, exactly as reviewed and ordered.3. On 10/27/2022, the sofa was delivered to your home. Your signature on the invoice indicates you inspected the sofa and received the correct model and color, in good condition.4. On 10/29/2022, you called the store with concerns that you received the wrong sofa, as it did not sit right for you. You made a trip to the store on October 30th and confirmed the sofa you received matched the sofa in the showroom. You informed us that the seat cushions were too firm. This is common for brand-new cushions, as the foam is unused, and needs to be broken-in over time. The floor model you sat on has been sat on numerous times. Both the back and seat support on the showroom model have been broken-in. 5. For new cushions, it is the manufacturers recommendation to step on the cushions to soften them. Understandably, this is not an ideal situation for you, as you mention you are advanced in age which poses risks to stepping on the cushions to hasten the softening process.6. Realizing that the issue is the softness of the foam in the cushions, we suggested, and you agreed, replacing the foam in your seats with our demo sofa seat foam. On 11/12/2022, we made the necessary corrections by replacing the new core cushions you received with a softer core.7. I called you, on 11/14/2022, to ask how the cushions were working for you and you expressed that you were very satisfied with how it worked. We are surprised to hear now that your shopping experience with us was less than satisfactory. You shared that you would like the demo sofa that is in the showroom. We are unable to accommodate this request since the sofa in the showroom is part of a set (sofa and reclining chair) that is a different color than the sofa you ordered. Taking your sofa in exchange for the demo sofa would leave us with a mismatched set. Again, we understand this is a frustrating experience to not receive the sofa in the exact condition as the example in the showroom. However, please know that you received a beautiful sofa that needs some extra seat time to achieve the same comfort as the one in the showroom. Sincerely,*************************Customer Response

After buying the sofa it was time to pick out a color. I told ***** I liked the demo sofa color. He then brought color and shade samples. I looked though hose and said I still liked the demo color. He said he had a sample that had just come in. He brought it and said he thought it would look better in our log home. I said okay. When the sofa arrived it was extremely uncomfortable and I called ***** I wanted to trade it for the demo sofa. He said he would not do that because it was the wrong color, and the sofa had a matching recliner had to be sold together. The recliner is at the other side of the showroom with no sign on either piece that they have to be bought as a pair. When I bought the COMFORTABLE sofa I was not told it would take some years to get the new one to that point. I am 81years old and there are three cushions I have to season. I may not live long enough to get the comfortable sofa I paid for. Ethical and honest are very important and I received neither. The following is our reply to your most recent comment:As per our previous responses, you were assisted in purchasing a sofa of your selection. You received a new sofa in the same style as the demo sofa, and in a color you ultimately selected. The sofa you received is in a color that was close in shade to the color of the demo sofa; the color you chose fit better in your home. The concern we are addressing is the comfort of your sofa. The sofa you received was made with standard filling that has not been used and takes a while to break in. To fix the problem, we exchanged the foam of the seat cushions for you. At the time you were satisfied with this.Aside from your sofa being brand new and has not been as used, your sofa is the exact same measurement and configuration of the demo sofa. Therefore, we would like to offer the cores of the back cushions of the demo sofa to replace yours; that should make your brand-new sofa feel like the demo sofa. ************** has called you, as recently as 01/13/2023, and left a voicemail to discuss this option for you but we have not heard back from you. Please contact us so we can arrange exchanging the foam in the back cushions between your sofa and the demo sofa.We look forward to hearing from you.
