Date: 12/15/2023 Took my 2017 ****** Pathfinder to Rons Automotive to replace the Radiator Fan Assem.-on 12/18/2023 I took it back because the radiator fan sounded very loud & forced. The service manager, *******************, turned it on and said that is normal now for the new ****** Pathfinder models, made with more issues and that they had, we replaced it with a Manufactured part so the technician would probably say the same thing and he just brushed me off. He didnt take it to have the technician take a look at it -I drove it for one more month after that with no improvement so I took it to the ****** Dealership for a 2nd opinion on 2/14/24 (Lost $160.00 of wages) at 8:00am. They found that **** Auto replaced the Radiator Fan Assembly with A After Market Part. The service **** ***** at the dealership called Rons Auto Shop and informed them of their findings and she advised **** Auto Shop to pay for the diagnostic fee ($197.00) . *******************, at **** Auto payed right away, acknowledging what they had done (lied to me and abused my extended warranty)-By 2:30pm on 02/14/24, I drove back to Rons Auto Shop to speak to *******************, but he had left to a Managers Meeting . I spoke to ***** and *******, they gave me ***************** #****************, district manager. -On 02/15/24, ******************* called me at 7:30 am. His first words were Please accept my apologies for the trouble Ive caused and all the inconvenience, what can I do to make things right? My response was, there is not much you and your shop can do now, I dont trust you and dont want my car back in your hands. Since you abused my trust and my extended warranty that paid the full price of the a Manufactured Part, I want the ****** Dealership to repair it, I want a rental car for the time Ill be without my car and I want my $160.00 wages lost for taking the day off to find out the truth and I want all paid my Rons Automotive -They called me in the afternoon saying they can do the repair, thats all

It is NOT ***'s Auto Parts address: *************************************************************** phone number: ************** (Choose it in Error and then couldnt Edit) IT IS: Rons Automotive *************************************************************** **************

      Sent from ***************************** (********************)

I have attached Rustom ****************** diagnostic, which by the way, **** Automotive (*******************) paid right away when they were called and informed of what they were caught doing.
I also called my ********************* who provided me with all the Estimate details **** Automotive submitted to them on 12/15/23 (and that they paid):

      ****** Manufacture Part #******JA2E = $542.43

      Labor at $185/hr=$499.50 **** hrs

Now My Extended Warranty will not pay again to replace the cheap after market part Rons Automotive put in my car. That is why I want a full refund of what we paid them on 12/15/23 and $160.00 of my lost wages; had to took 2/14/24 off to have my car looked at for the awful loud noise the fan kept doing. I just want my money back so I can take it to the ****** Dealership and have it done right. Im also wondering how more people **** Automotive has committed fraud towards in the *****************, ** and abused the extended warranties, we the consumer, pays so much for?

I am just baffled how easily this business lies.

1: If in fact Rons Automotive informed My Extended Warranty with an After Market Part # and was approved, then why did they Not Upload a copy of the Estimate they submitted to my extended warranty company with the authorization # as they say they did? Also, shouldnt it be the Consumer who decides what is going to be put on her (My) vehicle?! When was I called to be informed? ******************* didnt because he did all this with the intent to commit Fraud. I pay too much money for my vehicles (2017 ****** Pathfinder Platinum) to allow a cheap part to be put in it!

2: When I took it back on 12/18/23, he Never said for me to bring it back, that is another lie; he said it all sounds normal for the kind of vehicle ****** is making now, with issues. And said the Tech would say the same thing and brushed me off, so I left.

3: *********************** did offer to replace my Fan Assembly and pay me $160/ day wages ($20/hr), so he said he would refund the $ 147.28+$13.00 (from his own pocket I have the text message with that offer) to total $160.00.

I said, I want nothing to do with your shop again, I just want you to refund what you stole from me (I paid $5000.00 for my extended warranty), what the warranty and I paid, plus $160.00 I lost from wages on 2/14/24 to have it diagnosed so I can have the dealership to the repair. I have submitted all documentation proving what they did. I would never put my vehicle back in their hands.

I have already opened a Small Claims Lawsuit and the hearing is on April 29, ****. If the BBB can not get them to return what is mine, I at least have informed the BBB what this business has been doing in our community.

I had a coolant leak in a 2008 ****** Impreza so during investigation the coolant was milky which is a huge red flag for a blown head gasket. Out of concern for worst case scenario I called a tow truck to take my car to get diagnosed at Ron's automotive. They reached out to me and told me after a pressure test that it was a timing belt and water pump and everything would be good to go. I paid them for the job and when they called me to come pick it up I got in the vehicle and noticed that the car seemed like it wasn't giving enough power, about a quarter mile down the road my engine seized in traffic and I struggled to safely get pulled off the road with no power steering. I then had the car towed back to ***'s and after a day and a half I called them and they said it was actually the head gasket and told me it would be an exorbitant amount of money to fix. When I dropped my car off the engine ran, I feel like I've had transportation taken from me and I'm stuck with a seized engine.
