I purchase a 2013 Honda oddessy on 8/10/24 on 8/12/24 I contacted ***************** the sales guy and told him I was hearing clunking noise on the front end who can I talk to cause I was told by him that there cars do get a safety check so he gave me his manager name I've left several messages and still no response I understand it's a used car but it's not right after getting my business for me to get treated like that this is the second time I've spent money there a few years ago I bought a 08 honda oddessy got home check engine lights came on that cost me $1000 dollar so I took it to get checked out the ************************* $140 to find out it needs front end work of $3000 I will post a copy that's a safety thing isn't it all I'm asking is for some kind of repair so I can feel safe driving it I don't have that to spend right now they took what I had this is my transportation the Manager Muse won't respond.Business response

Vehicle was sold "as is" customer did sign the Wisconsin Buyers Guide which states vehicle if fully inspected and is "AS-IS" and shown. Also, customer signed we owe showing nothing owed.
We will not be issuing refund as vehicle was sold as is.

In Oct of 2023 my wife and I purchased a vehicle from Honda of Kenosha. Since we had purchased the van we have had nothing but issues with this van and have had it in the shop and not usable for almost the entire 3 months of ownership. It is currently at ******************* torn apart and ***** explained in verbal that there is strong evidence that this engine was torn apart and put back together cheaply. I believe that this was for a quick sale either by this dealership or the person who traded it in to this dealership. Right now I was quoted over ****** for new engine due to a cracked block. It seems that Honda of Kenosha didn't inspect the vehicle or if they did they filled up coolant reservoir and sent it on its way. Honda of Kenosha did offer to give me and my wife a 10k trade in which is not acceptable as we just paid 20k 3 months ago and haven't even got to use that van. The repairs are over half of what we paid and we would like Honda of Kenosha to either pay for all or at least some of the repairs as there is strong evidence the engine was tampered with recently ( fairly clean RTV sealant where a gasket should be) showing that someone didn't even get the gaskets for the vehicle and just slapped it together for a quick sale.Business response

The vehicle was purchased in perfect working order customer was given two options to either trade it in for a new vehicle or have discounted work done here at Honda of Kenosha as customer was offered an extended warranty and declined at time of purchase.Customer response

I have attached the photos of the engine that shows that it was tampered with very recent. The *** didn't even have dirt on it according to the Dodge dealership. The Dodge dealership said it was most likely taken apart in the last 6 months. It was put back together in a way that it wouldn't last very long. Yes I was offered assistance with repair or replacement but after the amount of stress my wife and I have had to go through we would rather not do business with Honda of Kenosha again. And are requesting them to admit the truth of they did tamper with the engine. I know they never will so I'm assuming this won't go anywhere. But thanks for the BBB's time in this matter

I have purchase two vehicle 2015 ******************* and a 2019 **** Escape from Honda dealership now I used my ******************* as my down payment to get the 2019 **** Escape which was purchase on October 12 2022 now I have encounter nothing but problems with this vehicle and stated several times if we could trade the **** Escape because lit was driving terrible they refuse to do that now I have had nothing but problems with vehicle form beginning to end and now my **** Escape has been in the ******* ************ since Dec 7 2023 I was told by the consultant that my 2019 **** Escape the connecting rod bearing were wear out that I needed a new engine it would cost ****** I am still waiting on total diagnostic from the ************ there is warnty I refuse to deal with this because regardless I still have to pay my portion of the contract because I was told by easy care warnty company they would pay there part I would have to pay I believe that not fair to me I shouldnt pay anything I have been taken for granted by this company literally rip off very unprofessional on there part and inconsiderate thank you for hearing my story *********************** and ***********************Business response

This dealership added ******* dollars of ******************. Never once was it explained to me that I would be paying all this extra money for stuff that I didn't know was being added back to the cost of the vehicle. Shady sales tactics!!I drove to the dealership today (10-16-23) to talk this issue out and get a resolution and they said I agreed to these add ons. I did sign paperwork for these products, but was told these extras were already in the final cost of the vehicle of the agreed upon price of 40,800.00.******* plus tax of stuff I'm not going to use. The date of this transaction was on 10-9-23.Please help me get this added on stuff taken off the contract.They dooped me real good.Business response

would give zero stars if i could. i came in last week to check out and test drive a car. they seemed awfully ready to just throw this car at me. they did not list the car as an "as is" sale. they had me put down $500 to "hold" the vehicle before i could even get the chance to do a proper inspection seeing as it was 5 pm on a friday. when i asked for their inspection report it had a slew of problems with it. i tried to ask their manager in charge of used cars and was ghosted all four times when i asked what problems had been resolved. "as is" is supposed to be some cosmetic problems, it doesn't include a slew of problems such as transmission leaks and a ton of other mechanical things wrong with it. i'm glad to not fully have gone through with the sale, let's just see if i can get that $500 refunded without a lawyer presentBusiness response

On March 28, 2023. Contacted dealership Honda of Kenosha in regard to buying a vehicle listed for $3000 dollars. after providing my information, they send me a Cash deal structure, with an out the door price of $4,922.22 dollars. after reviewing the contract, I found that they were adding $898 dollars fee. the following "Diamond Fusion" which is a windshield protective coating. & Secure Etch - Silent Guard Security System. After questioning the charge and refusing it stating that I did not need that, they had no answers for me. not to mention their Duc fees and license and title fees are outrageous. not to what the State of ********* maximum should be. I will put the number the gave me for Duc Fee $398 dollars. for License/ Title $325.50 I now every dealer has to charge that but these amounts are way too high not normal. Due to the fact, the customer lives in ******** and would need to register the vehicle to place of residency the purchase would have to have the ******** DMV fee's not *********.
******** Title Fee =$155
******** Registration fee = $25
******** Plate Fee =$126
Electronic Fee = $19.50
Total = $325.50
Our Doc fee is within the ********* guidelines.
We do have a disclaimer on all of our vehicles (see attached) along with the fact the accessories were disclosed through messages and pricing sent to the customer.Initial Complaint

On Friday March 18th, 2022, I was searching for used cars online using KBB as the search tool. I found a vehicle that interested me, priced at $33,347, and I inquired about it online. The internet sales person contacted me right away and we talked back and forth for a bit about my trade in. He sent me a link to their website inventory of the same car and the price was $33,347. We agreed they needed to see my trade in so I drove 40 minutes into town to try and make a deal. When I sat down with a different sales person, I was told the vehicle was over $35,000. I showed the salesperson the two prices, one from KBB and one from their own website advertising the price at $33,347. He walked away to try and "figure this out", came back and told me there was a mistake somewhere but the price was actually $34,900. Is it even legal for them to advertise one price and then change that price when a person walks in to try and purchase it? That is very deceptive and should not be allowed!Business response

I was in continuous contact with a customer service member before going into the dealership via text. He sent me the information on the vehicle I was interested in, and the price was the same as the website. Would it not be a responsible thing for them to verify the information they are sending to be accurate before sending it? It was very telling to me that the first question from the salesmans mouth was, how would you like to pay for the difference, finance or cash? How did he know there was going to be a difference? My trade was valued higher than their asking price. That is until I showed him the price on his vehicle, and then there was a mistake on their pricing. Its all very underhanded! All one has to do is look at the number of Yelp complaints that are exactly the same as mine. Its very telling.

We do use market based pricing on our vehicles and with that our pricing can change constantly.
We do make a great effort to ensure accuracy on our site but occasionally there are human errors in typing which is why we have our disclaimers listed.
In regards to the sales consultants question on paying the difference, this is simply part of their training.

Its a mute point to continue from here. They will continue to make excuses, and thats fine. I just want to make sure consumers are aware of the tactics and my hope is theyll steer clear.

I had an appt with this dealership on 7/24 to look at a 2019 VW Tiguan SEL. Upon arrival, the vehicle was filthy with half a sandwich in the back seat. The previous owners information in the glove box, including their recent home remodel with personal information included. The rear door would not close properly, and is missing a part. The vehicle is not an SEL but rather SE. The sales rep said the window etching, car mats and diamon-fusion included in the listing price. The vehicle price was agreed on $25k because it was not an SEL. The window etching was charged separately for $399.00 they call it theft protection , the car mats that are generic and not VW were charged separately for $295.00 and the diamon-fusion was charged separately for $2494. I did not ask them to etch the windows. They were etched before I arrived at the dealership. The carmats were in the vehicle upon my arrival, . I have no proof the diamon-fusion was added to the vehicle. I have attached a copy of the **** of sale. My previous claim was closed because the dealership said they were working it out with me. This is untrue. I want reimbursement for the items that I was charged $6305. The numbers have been skewed on this **** of sale and do not add **. ** one section I was charged $ **** for S color pros and S zindium. Another section I was charged $3188 for S theft protection, S mats and diamon-fusion. There is also a service contract charge of $2879 which on another **** says that is easy care. Attached you will find copies of the **** of sale with 2 different amounts. One is a **** of sale for $31779.81 another $32458.81. Also attached previous owners documents found in the vehicle. Included in previous owner documents is a repair **** due to an accident jn which the rear door is not fixed properly and does not shut properly. Safety issue for my children. Something a delaership would see if properly inspected prior to listing for sale. This dealership is fraudulent and over chargesBusiness response

I am unable to spend 6 hours of another day at the dealership. I have provided the bills of sale showing 2 different sales amounts and being charged for items already on the vehicle. The dealership also has the originals to review.
