The owner, *****, is rude and unprofessional. We had worked with him throughout the planning of the wedding.The venue is beautiful! The food was good as well. The bartender was great along with *****, the helper. HOWEVER, the customer service from ***** is lacking. Throughout the planning process he was generally okay. Not the most personable, but manageable. He did pick and choose with whom he communicated. For example, my future son-in-law messaged him and ***** would stop responding, because the future groom was asking too many questions. ***** did respond to me, though. I suppose because I was the one paying. The bridal party was at the venue at 9:00 a.m. I had asked previously for a snack tray as we were originally told we can not bring outside food in. The owner charged $150. The day of the wedding, he said he had forgotten about it. I told him no worries and he said he would refund the $150. I told him that was fine. But, within an hour, he brought in a tub of mixed treats: popcorn, pretzels, chips, and bugles. Definitely not worth $150. However, we didn't say anything that day, because we were focused on the wedding.The day after the wedding, we went to clean up and gather our decorations. And, here came the problem. I told ***** that everything was great, but I felt that the snack tub he brought was way overpriced. Immediately, he was defensive. He started to go on and on about how everything is expensive (electricity, food, etc). He proceeded to tell us that his wife is the one who handles the pricing and there isn't anything he could do. He said all we are doing is looking for money. I told him we don't want it for free, but he could take off at least a portion (maybe half) as a good will gesture. $150 is overpriced for this type of snack and he refused to work with us. As I stated, I didn't want it for free, but I did request to work out a better price. He became agitated and combative. He also lies.Customer response

I filed a complaint and I want to update. The amount charged for the snack tray was $200 (100 x 2). Since this occurred, he has threatened me that he will now add a long list of charges (the bridal suite, putting up chairs, the outside ceremony area, hall rental, ***********. This after all had been paid in full and after the ceremony.Thank you,Customer response

I also found out from some of our guests that the staff at BBB went through the buffet line I paid for for OUR guests.
Not his staff. That was not part of the deal. Neither ***** nor his wife, *******, have

Btw. The price on the snack mix was $100. And out of good faith we refilled it and brought another one out during appetizers.
They also got a free ceremony, free linens(purple napkins and white tableclothes), free outside ceremony(normally an extra $200 charge), free use of the bridal suite, free slideshow on our projector screens, etc., etc., etc.
