Greenwood handled excavation and concrete for our new home build in 2021 and 2022. They poured, colored and stamped a front patio. The fall it was poured the concrete started to flake off. They didnt come back until the spring because it was too cold. Through the winter the concrete was so slippery we couldnt walk on it. They came back 6-7 times in the summer of 2022 and put more color and sealant on the concrete because by this time the color was also flaking off. There were multiple spots throughout the concrete slab where this was happening. I sent emails and pictures to the owner. Fall 2022 they said they would have to come back in the spring of 2023 to fix it again, even though it was never remedied in the first place. They have made comments about the only way to fix it being to rip it out and they dont want to pay for that to happen. The excavation, concrete, color, stamp and labor was nearly $6,500. We have called them multiple times this spring and summer (2023) and they have yet to show up to fix the concrete. It now has bubbles all over it. The concrete contact, *******, told us last year those bubbles were because it dried when it was too cold and they would have to come back to fix again. We were worried when they poured it initially that it was too late in the year because of the temperature. They assured us it wasnt. We either want a full refund, plus the amount it will cost for us to rip it out and start over, or we want them to come and fix the problem and not come back to our home again afterwards. I do not want them coming every year, multiple times to put a bandaid over the problem.

      ******,

Thank you for expressing your concerns! Our business e-mail and business phone number has not received any correspondence from you since 09/01/2022. We took care of the last of your concerns in November 2022, and left your residence with you being satisfied. As you stated in your complaint,we have addressed said "issues" 6-7 times. We have even went above and beyond and replaced a section of sidewalk that was cracked by your husband.Prior to pouring the stamped and colored concrete, you were informed that it would be slippery when wet(and slippery during the winter *ice* - as is common with any stamped concrete). That said, deicing salts are extremely harsh on new concrete. Since you are continuing to use deicing salts to address the slipperiness of the stamped and colored concrete (which is causing said flaking), we feel that it is not our responsibility to come back an 8th time to address an issue that you are causing by using deicing salts - which you were instructed not to use on new concrete.

      Regards,

      ***

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

      [Please type your response here.]

we were not satisfied on Nov 2022 and were told by ******* that they would be back in the spring to look at the concrete again. We have not put any ice melt on our sidewalk, as we were instructed not to. Furthermore, our sidewalk was not cracked by my husband which is why you replaced it. I will work on gathering our text message history we have with ******* to prove our conversations.

      Regards,
