we own a 2016 ram truck 1500 ecodiesel larime longhorn. we took it to rich's truck&auto repair on 5/6/24. they diagnostic as the def system REGEN. and said it wouldn't be much. we went to pick it up and it was $486.97. i guess that was alright there wasnt anything we could do about it. on the way home the engine light came on. we took it back. 2 days later they got back to **. they said the truck needed a oil change. said it would be around $195.00. we said no, and said we would have someone else do it. half an hour later he called back. sorry he said they already dumped the oil. he said for there mistake we will bill you $145.00. we said ok. they said they would get back to **. they called back the next day, the first 2 guys we delt with were very nice. this guy that was on vacation took over. he called me laughing and joking about it. and he said it will be another $3,500.00. i told him we will come and get it. before we got home with it the engine was noisey. we checked the oil, we know it looks dirty fast. but it was awful dard and it felt dirty. so we're afraid to drive it. we dont know what to do? engine light is still on. they didnt charge us for the oil change. i think they either didnt do it, or they took the new oil back out and put used in. again we dont know what to do.Customer response

It's true they didn't charge us for the oil change. I don't think they did it though. They did charge us for the check engine light. But it's still on. They never fixed the problem. We would like to have it fixed but I don't trust them. I'd like to take it to someone else and have them pay for it.Customer response

Yes we want our money back and we want the noise engine fixed.
