      I paid a deposit of $1900.00 to Pave Black Asphalt at the end of Sept. 2023 which they promptly cashed. They were to rip out my old driveway, put in a new base and lay 3 in. of asphalt down. I was told the wait would be 4 weeks until they could do the work. Total cost would be $6309. I asked for a couple days notice before they came to have a friend move my camper off the driveway. After 4 weeks passed I started calling the office to see where I was on the schedule, no answers there. A couple of guys showed up the second week of Nov. with no notice asking if they could get started on the work. This was by phone from his truck. He never came to my door. I said no since I still needed to have the camper moved. He arranged with me to come back Mon. Nov. 13 to start the work. Camper was moved over that weekend. Monday no one showed up or called me. I started calling the office and the project manager, ***************** who did my initial estimate. I couldn't get in touch with anyone. Then I got a text from an admin. assistant, ************************* who told me I wasn't on the schedule, but they wanted to come Thanksgiving week to do the work. I said no, I wanted to be with family then. So after that it got cold and I wanted to cancel the work for the season. I requested my deposit be returned. I've called them several times since November and they've ignored me. I'm done with this company. I've never worked with a group so unprofessional before. I guess my only recourse is legal action to get my deposit returned. Thank You **************************

      Iam very sorry to inform you that the work you did was a very low-quality work, it seems that it was done by some beginner workers, They left many imperfections, such as dregs, planer marks, ditches and there is a lot of unevenness. I have seen very good quality work from other companies I thought I would have a good quality work with your company but I was wrong, this job was not for $2000 or $3000 they charged me $10,000 so they need to do something and try to fix all those imperfections that they make see the driveway as if it were old and just repaired.Sorry but I'm very disappointed!

      The transaction or job performed in Sept. 2022. We paid Pave Black Asphalt $5,000 to pave our driveway with black top. This spring we noticed 5 areas where the black top sunk and cracked or crumbled. These areas are on the sides of the driveway. We want Pave Black Asphalt to repair these areas. We believe the problem areas are due to poor materials or poor workmanship. I have called Pave Black Asphalt numerous times. They use an answering service that takes messages rather than transferring you to a person. The service tells you, per the company, that a callback to you will be in 2-3 business days. Pave Black has not returned my calls. I have been emailing Pave Black Asphalt since May. I include pictures of the areas that need repairing. The few responses I received back were that they will have quality control come to inspect the driveway, they are short staff, and I will hear back from someone. Nothing has happened as a result of these emails or pictures. Pave Black Asphalt has made no attempt to resolve this issue. I went to their business during their regular business hours only to find them closed. The communication process with this company is non-existent on their part.

      PAVE Asphalt installed a driveway at my home at ********************************************* and the asphalt failed. There are oily holes and weak spots in the asphalt that need to be cut out and repaired and numerous numerous attempts to get them back there to repair it has fallen on deaf ears. The company does not answer their phone. At this point I did speak with an employee with the company on his personal cell and he was telling me about all of the complaints he had been feeling fielding, and was very frustrated himself, so I have no idea whether or not I'm gonna get any help from these people, but do not hire them. Do not hire them.

I do appreciate them coming back and fixing the issue of the end of the driveway. Im just concerned that the driveway itself wont last long with hour is it already crumbling in areas. We only have parked out 2 cars on it, so it had been well below the weight limit. Just want to see what we can do to make it last. The pics I previously sent show the crumbling.

      I apologize for the lack of communication. I had no idea there were two issues you had. I was only working on the one that needed more asphalt to make it more eye appealing. The pavers did pave it as the diagram showed but it did look out of place and we did come back to address it as you requested.


      I'll have to check the documents in your folder to see what I can find out about the asphalt that was used to help figure this out.

We have tried contacting your business MANY times with no reply. We are seeing quality issues, such as the driveway already starting to crumble.  We are simply asking what do we need to do to stop this?  If someone could help us, that would be appreciated.  however, the constant ignoring is not helping not helping your business referrals.       [The first thing that I would like to say is that the email conversation that Pave Black sent in response to my complaint is from another customer (not us) that they did poor work for and ignored for several months.  This response is incredible to me and only proves my point in filing the complaint.  There are serious service level issues when you even mishandle a BBB complaint.  ]

      I'm not sure of the exact language that was used to respond but the customer showed us pictures of what they felt was not correct. They were reviewed and per the diagram (picture attached) the asphalt was laid correctly, 13' at the end. It did look like it was off so Pave Black Asphalt went back to fill in the triangle at the end. The driveway was sprayed out per the diagram. It didn't look uniform so Pave Black filled it in so the customer would be happy.

      Again, the customer and situation that Pave ********************** is referring to in the response and with the pictures and diagram is NOT us.  They are still referencing the other customer that they referenced in their first response.  THAT IS NOT US!  Our issues were NOT addressed.  They NEVER came back to look at the driveway.  They NEVER fixed anything.  We spent months trying to just get ******* to come out and look at our driveway.  This back and forth with no resolution is why we want to cut ties with this business, adjust our bill as paid in full and have someone else fix our driveway.

      We had Black Pave Asphalt pave our driveway June 20, 2022. Initially we had an issue that they did not pave the driveway to the specifications that we paid for. The team eventually called us back and came back and fixed it. We have followed the directions for the driveway but it is always cracking, the edges look awful and you can see exposed rocks on the driveway. We have tried calling and left multiple messages. We tried contacting on ********* No response. I dont believe our driveway should look like this after 4 months. But we cant get them to contact us back. Their work was horrible and this is really unfortunate they dont stand by their products.

      We appreciate that you came and fixed the issue before, but that is not what we are talking about. We are having crumbling in the course of a few months. We have friend calling, emailing, ******** messanger with pictures, which have been ignored. We just want to know what we need to do to stop the crumbling. We have sent photos of the issue spots - with no reply.

      Put a down payment of $4500 to have asphalt driveway installed, kept being delayed and no return calls to figure things out , got to late in fall temperature wise for doing asphalt so asked for refund of down payment and was told they would hold it till spring and do it then , we said no and they have refused to respond or return our refund

      I wrote a check 5/22/21 for $8,000.00 for a down payment to do my driveway The driveway was not done till July 27th . ( promised to be done in ************ May 2022 I noticed cracks in driveway. I called in July and was told to send pictures. Which I did and was told it was covered under there warranty. And the work would be done in the next couple of weeks. I even joked weeks not months. They still have not repaired the driveway or have not responded to my emails. I have all the emails from 8/5 to now with all their promises. I hope you can help me out with this matter.Thanks in Advance ***************

      We hired Pave Black Asphalt to replace our driveway. Proposal was for removal of **** SF of driveway and existing sub-grade. Purchase, placement and compaction of **** lbs of stone aggregate. Grading, compaction and paving of **** SF at 2.5 inches of asphalt. Wrapping of culvert pipe on both sides of drive. Which they didn't do.Problems started arising from the start. First, vegetation started coming up through the asphalt. Cracks have developed through out the drive way. Bulges appeared in several spots. Tire indentations appear after parking a vehicle on the asphalt.I believe the problem is a result of not putting down a stone base. I paid for **** lbs of stone but they did not use it. I watched as they loaded it on their dump truck and hauled it away. I asked one of the crew and he stated "it wasn't necessary". Which means they put the new asphalt over the existing base. I'm not a expert, but who does that? I also cut a 4 inch hole in the asphalt and found the thickness of the asphalt to be less than 2 inches and did not see any stone aggregate added. I have called, no one answers. Sent emails, asking for someone to come out and take a look at it. With reply's of "We'll get back to you when were in the area". It's been over a month with no response from them. I just wanted them to come and look at it and come up with a solution. They wouldn't, so that opportunity has passed. If you look closely at the pics of them working, you can see the tan colored ground. That is the clay ******* they put the asphalt on and even I know that is a bad idea. In the other pic you can see a white or light gray section where they did put some stone. Seems to me they were cutting corners to save time and money and didn't care about the results. They are totally ignoring my concerns.Thank you for your time.

      Pave Black Asphalt did not satisfy the conditions of their contract by not honoring their "workmanship and materials guarantee." Specifically, Pave Black Asphalt did not satisfy the conditions of their contract by not paving the surface to industry standard pitch that cause water accumulation, long term damage to the pavement, and hazards to human health, damaging the finished pavement surface with their equipment, not grading the driveway properly (specifically on the west side of the driveway), and generally performing work not consistent with other "examples of workmanship" as stated in the contract and as shown on their website. Currently, Pave Black Asphalt expects payment and has claimed that the job is complete. As the contract is not satisfied per the information stated above, payment cannot be made. All complaints were made within 48 hours of discovery of said issues. Complaints were also made at the time of paving by *********************** (spouse), and not resolved satisfactorily. *********************** requests the driveway be repaired at no cost due to abundance of issues with the finished surface and the negligent behavior by Pave Black Asphalt. *********************** also requests that Pave Black Asphalt contact him immediately for conflict resolution via PHONE and EMAIL. Pave Black Asphalt has become unresponsive to requests for resolutions. Complaints made to the BBB will be efforts for third-party resolutions.
