Several times I have shopped at iola sentry and been ripped off. They advertise a product or products as specials like an example 2 for 5 dollars or 10 for 10 dollars. Then you get rung up at the register and it's full price for each item. It doesn't ever ring up as a deal. When a person says this is happening nothing is done to resolve it the employees just say we know it happens all the time. So they are false advertising products and then not giving the discount and charging full price. They also on several occasions have added additional items on your receipt that you did not purchase. When brought to attention the employee says yea that happens all the time. So they're ripping people off by adding additional items the customer did not purchase and taking they're money knowing they are doing so. It isn't right.Business response

By no means would I ever knowingly "rip off a customer" that is not how I do business.In response to the customer complaint this is the action that I have taken.1. I have called ******************* and left her a message to return my call to discuss her complaint.2. There are times we have pricing errors, but we have a process to resolve it quickly if the process is followed. In this case we failed to follow the process. I am meeting with all cashiers and managers to make sure they are doing their jobs in such situations.3. We have a program in our system that matches item prices and shelf tags that generates a report of errors. I will make sure we are utilizing that report as intended.4. We will be increasing our shelf tags verification time. Matching tags to the price file.5. As far as items being added to a customer's order (receipt) this should never happen because the cashier needs the item's barcode or PLU (price look up) to scan the item.to ring it up. I know there have been cases where an item had a poor description on the receipt and made it nearly impossible to identify the item. When this is brought to our attention by a customer we correct it immediately.In conclusion I am not happy how our cashiers handled ******* complaint. To correct this it starts with me. We have always had great results on price checks when the ********* ********** of ******* and Measures does their annual store visit.
