I got my breaks fixed from the car *******************. The brakes immediately were squeaking. When the issue was brought to the car ****** repair shop they refused to take responsibility for something that was obviously done wrong with my brakes. I really would like my money back as I have to get my brakes redone by another shop. The total cost of the brake job was over $900.0 and I have bad brakes; this is a car my baby daughter rides in and I need to keep this vehicle safe.Business response

We understand your concern with have a brake squeak problem. As explained in the previous post we installed new front and rear, pads and rotors on 03/04/22 and we did confirm the brake noise during your recent appointment 08/30/22. During that time, we disassembled the brakes and cleaned/lubricated the caliper slides and brackets at no charge to you. We then test drove your car and confirmed the noise was gone at that time. As we mentioned at that time, the brakes are under manufacture warranty and if the noise came back we would replace them under warranty for you. The manufacture provides this warranty to resolve any possible issue such as this. The brakes operated as designed and there was no safety concern. We do understand that squeaking brakes are annoying and we were trying to work with you to get the issue resolved. We are not able to issue a refund, as you were informed, we would replace the brakes at no cost to you under the manufacture warranty and it is out of our control that you paid to have them replaced when they could have been done for free.Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[Please type your response here.] I have went to a different mechanic and they stayed the calibrate have a issue and inquired on why want it addressed when my car was brought in with the squeaking. I refuse to come back there and pay even more money for something that should of been addressed when the brakes were first worked on. Now if you are willing to address any issue with the brakes at no cost to me.

The consumer has not had the car's brakes repaired by a different mechanic. He would like to make arrangements to bring the vehicle back to you for repair. Is there a person that they can call to make these arrangements?Business response

Yes. He can call the service number at ************ and schedule an appointment to get the rear brakes warrantied.
