This contractor installed a furnace in my home . When removing the old furnace my basement stairs were damaged. I watch the repair man pull the furnace up the stairs and cause the damage. Cracks in the tile I immediately alerted the workmen on site and I phoned the office for the company . Within 30 min someone came out and inspected the damage. I was told *** the owner would get back to me. I have not received any further correspondence from this company. I would like them to repair the damages.Business response

Although our technicians try to be as careful as possible when removing extremely heavy equipment up a staircase, occasionally we have a mishap. When ************ called to complain about his stairs being damaged, our estimator went over immediately to inspect the damage. Due to the fact that the tiles were extremely old, kind of a cobblestone pattern, a few small pieces on a few stairs chipped out. Upon inspecting the rest of the staircase, are estimator noticed other damage that had been there for years. We called and left a message for ************, but he has not returned our call. We are willing to pay for the cost of the individual tiles that were chipped out.Customer response

There were no damages to my stairs whatsoever.The I have no issue with the stairs being repaired however they will be not be pieced together. They will be in one matching pattern as they were when this contractor entered my home and caused the stated damages.
