I ordered two wooden carvings from this company for $698.00 in May 2022. It took 7 months before they sent one of the carvings. I still have not received the second one. I have attempted to contact the owner multiple times, but have received no response. I would simply like my $349 back for the one carving.Initial Complaint

I purchased a lake carving in December 2022 at a local street fair. It was mentioned that there were a lot of orders and I most likely would get the order in time for Christmas. Not a problem at all - I was told I would receive a proof to approve before it was created. I reached out 12/31/22 to see if I could get a pic to be able to send as a Christmas present. I received a response quickly. I reached out in April, June, July and August and havent received any response. *** requested several times for a refund as this is too long to wait for something I purchased in December.Initial Complaint

On December 26, 2022 we ordered a medium Lake ******** wooden map from this company. We have ordered from them the year prior and had decent communication and service from them, and an amazing product. We felt secure enough to order again. They sent us the invoice for a total of $301.56 for our map. We expected it would take a month or so. January 29, 2023, we sent an email inquiring a status update and got no reply. Come ****** I began ******** Messengering them, again with no reply after asking for an update.. understanding they may be backlogged. Since then, until now in August, they have continued to ignore our calls/voicemails, their website and email is no longer in service, and they keep deleting my comments left on one of their ******** posts. Also, on ********, you can see several other people inquiring about their products.. all with no response. We intend to contact our local news station that also assist in these matters, and we are also going to contact the consumer protection financial bureau. We have never been rude or disrespectful in our inquiry, yet we, and their other customers, have been disrespected by them being unprofessional and rude with not communicating back to us when asked, and no product or money returned. First off, any type of communication from them would have been and would be helpful! Refund of my money is now our desired outcomeInitial Complaint

We met Michael Wilcox at an art fair and spoke with him about a project we wanted done for a 50th anniversary gift. I reached out to Michael by email on 2/24/23, letting him know we were ready for him to start the project. He asked lots of questions and we agreed on the product and the price. He sent an invoice and we paid $300 via PayPal on 3/24/23. He then stopped communicating with **. I started seeing reviews online that he was stiffing other people. I finally had communication from him on 4/19/23, where he said they were having issues with suppliers, but my project should be shipped to me the last week of April. Nothing arrived and again he is not responding to emails. I've asked for a refund if he isn't able to fulfill his part of the contract. Our event is in June and I need a gift. Also, he has my $300 and I have nothing. I would like either my product or a full refund.Customer response

Unfortunately this seller seems to have a "MO" of promising "next week".He told me I'd have my product this week and once again I have nothing.There are more and more reviews I'm finding where people state they paid $250 or $300 and never go their product from him or that he keeps telling them "next week" as he's doing for me.If you can do anything to get me a refund, I would appreciate it.Thank you,*********************Initial Complaint

On September 18, 2022, I ordered and paid for a "small lake michigan" wooden picture from ***************************, who presented himself as the business "Clever Cuts 'N' Carvings", at the Wine and Harvest Festival in *********, *********, order #**** for $250. In March 2023, I had still not received my product, so I tried reaching out to ******* and discovered the phone number and website for "Clever Cuts 'N' Carvings" were out of commission. The email was attached to the defunct website. I managed to contact him through the ******** page (**********************************************) and he did return my messages, but for at least 5 weeks now he promises to check into my order and never does. When I found that other ppl were having the same experience, I realized that this was fraud, and am thus filing this complaint.Customer response

Update-- I received my order. I had commented on one of the posts on the **** PB page, and also messaged **** on FB, that I would file a small claims case the next week Monday (a full week later) if I did not receive at least a tracking number as proof of shipping by then. They purchased the shipping label on Monday, and finally actually sent the product Thursday. The frame corners don't match up evenly and about 7 inches is beveled where it meets the picture. I wiped the frame with paper towel, and where it abuts the picture was ******, which came off on the paper towel. But I have what I ordered. I think this is the best things are going to get. I appreciate your help.I have an adjacent issue-- I pull up the **** page on BBB and there's no complaints listed. I submitted a review yesterday and that's not there either.Searchability may not be something that can be controlled... unfortunately if I search for "Clever Cuts 'N' Carvings BBB" it doesn't come up.
