We are looking to get our $500.00 deposit back. Here is why. After signing a proposal contract (hopefully attached) with JK Contactors in May 2022 and sending a $500 deposit check, we heard nothing from *****************, President of the company regarding when the job would be started. Not even an estimate. Additionally, our home insurance was also unsuccessful with getting them to send a copy of the proposal contract to them. They had started asking in April 2022, and continued through June 2022. Attached (hopefully) is an email from the insurance company indicating that as late as June 22, they had not yet received anything. On June 28, 2022, we sent a letter to JK Contractors indicating our frustration and asking that action be taken with 3 weeks to either refund our money and give us a start date for the project and send a copy of the signed proposal to the insurance company. The "due date" was Monday, July 18, 2022. we heard nothing. So, on July 18, I texted **** (attached?) indicating their non-action indicated non-interest and they need to refund our deposit. ****'s only response was he needed more time. I said we were moving on. On Friday, July 22, **** texted that they could come on Monday, July 25. Really?? It was too late plus one day's notice would not have been enough in any case. ..we work. Also, **** was supposed to give us guidance to pick out a door for them to install which he never did.Business response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. We do not feel that $315.00 refund is adequate. Little to no work was done. Also, as of today, we have not received any refund check.
