The movers damaged many items and walls. Many attempts were made to discuss with manager but he pushed the issue over to business owner and communication attempts have been ignored. The company stated they were insured and covered damage at time the job was booked. This was reviewed prior to acceptance.Initial Complaint

On July *****, Here and There moving company moved my belongings from a storage unit to my new home. They had also moved the items into the storage unit one year earlier. When the movers brought in my white leather couch, I noticed the frame was broken. The owner ***** told the workers to place the couch back on the truck and he would have it repaired. He notified me on September 5th that the couch was repaired and would be delivered to me that week. It has not been delivered at this time. He will no longer respond to my phone calls or texts. The company also owes me a check for $168.90 for refrigerator handles that were missing. I am considering a small claims court filing.Business response

It was delivered last Saturday and she has her couch. It was repaired and she claimed refrig. door pulls were lost.

The couch was delivered in with a sub optimal repair and no reimbursement of the cost to the missing refrigerator handles. They said a check would be delivered and it never was. I suggested a mailing of the check but no response. They have the address. No one should ever be subjected to this moving company ever!

I hired Here and There Moving for a move from my former residence to a new residence in September 2021. The owner ***** met at my former residence and quoted me a price for me to pack up my own belongings, and a separate quote for them to pack my belongings and also move it. He said the only way they could insure my belongings is if they packed them, so I opted for the more costly option where they packed my belongings. The cost of the move was $3500, which had to be paid via cash, so I'm sure he isn't paying income taxes on it. Some of the guys in the crew were a bit sketchy. I had one guy that noticed I had 2 of some things, and asked hey, you dont need 2 of these, do you mind if I have one? It was an unprofessional and odd request, but I obliged because it seemed weird to say no. The second day when they were obviously behind schedule, the packing started going sideways. There was all of a sudden no rhyme or reason to the packing. They just started throwing things in random boxes, not labeling them correctly. Food was thrown in the same boxes as items from my living room. Rather than carefully pack breakable items, they used my own clothes to wrap my breakable belongings! They started using my own suitcases to just start jamming things from around the house. During the move itself, they were short on space in their truck and claimed they were concerned about some of my valuables breaking in the moving truck, so they put them in their beat-up personal vehicles. I believe this is where an eventual theft occurred. They packed up all of my electronics, but what never made it to my new home was a **** Playstation. I notified owner, and he gives me the run around for a month, claiming he got COVID. 10 weeks later still no resolution, they don't return my calls, texts or emails, other than telling me they fired the guy that they think stole it. They promised a replacement, and still have not provided a replacement or cash value so I can replace.Business response

BBB COMMENT BY STAFF SKW:
He left a 5 star review. I worked with him personally. Never did he mention any of this until he called saying the play station was missing.
Notes:
The move was 9/30 liked the crew. Wanted to know how to handle pay.
3 Months later- Accused of **** PlayStation -December 6 asked if I talked to my crew about the PS4. Asked how to rectify. Explained I was in the hospital.
Couple of texts back and forth. None of my men admitted to taking it. Process begins with all items. ***** is Ops Manager. Told him we would order one- all is on back order. He would purchase one online. I didn't hear anything about it until he reached back out and asked ****. Still hadn't arrived. Says it will be at the end of the month. The PS4 Notification was several months later after the move. They will not pay anything after 30 days. If they do it will be by the pound. Household goods and freight .72 cents a pound. 13 dollars for the PS4 is what they will pay. ***** was suppose to purchase. I will find out why. Company has not been working.
It will be replaced when I sell off some capital

[The company's response is insufficient. There has been no communication that the missing PS4 was backordered. I have copied the text message log dating back to December and the back and forth. You will notice that all recent communications were not responded to at all. No phone calls either. I even provided them a last chance to rectify the situation with an email, exactly outlining the review I intended on posting if they didn't resolve the issue--and still no response. That email is also attached. The only thing that will rectify the situation in my opinion is a replacement for the item they STOLE from my house or the cash equivalent so I can replace it myself. Tell them to show proof it was ordered and is still backordered. I don't believe for a second that they ordered it 3+ months ago and haven't received it. On top of poor communication, these guys are THIEVES and the BBB should be sure to note that so unsuspecting people do not allow them inside their residences with their personal belongings. ]

We hired them to move a piece of furniture into our house. The owner ***** assured us the company had insurance in the event of any unexpected incident.When they brought the furniture piece into the house, they put 3 deep scratches each several feet long, into our wood floor.We contacted the owner ***** about this right away and sent him pictures of the floor damage. He said he would send somebody out to look at it, but assured us it would be taken care of.We set a date and a time for this and no one ever came. No one ever called, and ***** stopped returning our calls and texts and has been silent ever since.This company is still in operation. They are not at the Washington Avenue address in ****** that they advertise. Their address is *******************************************************.
