I filled out a online application for a unit and saw I was ****** qualified for it. I saw that there was a $20 application fee and a random online administrative fee. I waited until the office opened and called and spoke with ****** who stated that before the fee was charged at lease signing but now they do it in advance to hold the unit if approved. I agreed to make the payment since I felt comfortable with getting that money refunded if I was not approved. I submitted the payment and was denied, I called and left a message to see how long it would take the money to be refunded & got no call back. I then called on 3/18 and spoke with ****** again who stated oh we dont refund that. I was immediately confused because if you only charge the fee to hold a unit and its normally charged at lease signing why would you not refund the fee? Knowing ********* real estate law I do know it is not legal to charge over $25 for a application. I am simply requesting my $200 back. No where on the website does it say non refundable, ****** also never stated that it was non refundable.Business response

Per the terms of our application when an applicant applies for an apartment the application and administrative fees are non-refundable. I've attached the application documents that have been electronically signed by ******************.
