Common Transportation delivered my credenza from Overstock which weighs 190lbs. I paid to have it delivered to the room of my choice and thought I also paid for it to be unpacked. As it turns out I made a mistake and only paid for it to be brought in to the house. I mentioned this to Common Transportation's girl on the phone twice and to the delivery people. I offered to pay for them to unpack it, and no one offered to do it. I would have liked for them to say, sure maam we can do that for you and it will cost $- and I would have paid it. Instead it was oh well. So I thought ok I will unpack it. I just had surgery 12 days ago and carefully removed the packing from the top of the box only to see the credenza was upside down! I could certainly unpack cardboard from the item, but I certainly could not upright a 190lb item. I hurriedly texted the delivery fellow and asked him to return to upright the delivery. I saw a read receipt that he read my message. I didn't hear from him so I texted him again and asked if he would be coming back and no answer. My husband is 76 and I am 73 and we are unable to turn this upright. Common Transportations website says this: "At Common Transportation, we believe in getting it right the first time every time. Thats why we guarantee price, timing, and performance in our commercial services. Every one of our transportation, and storage services comes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee." I would like to be 100% satisfied, but they will have to come back and turn my credenza right side up please.Business response
