I purchased carpet in August 2022 from Family Carpet from their Pleasant Valley, WV store. After weeks of waiting and being told the delay was due to their installers not being able to pass drug tests, my carpet was installed. The installation was unacceptable for several reasons: There were numerous seams which were not trimmed, staples sticking up from the carpet, and unraveling thread around the baseboards. They also put a hole in the wall of my office. I requested that they send someone out to look and they sent another installer who trimmed some of the seams but stated nothing else could be done since the carpet was already down. Over the next few weeks, I noticed that the carpet was already beginning to crush and the carpet loops were beginning to pull up from the floor. At that time, I requested to have the carpet replaced since it is under warranty (20 year warranty). I agreed to stay with the same manufacturer and the same priced carpet. The salesman came out and looked at the carpet, took pictures, and stated there would be no problem having the carpet replaced. I have been waiting approximately 2 months at this point. Finally, the salesman contacted me and stated the manufacturer would have to send an inspector out to look at the carpet. The salesman is now citing the reason I haven’t been contacted by the inspector is because my cell number is invalid. He stated this while talking to me on the cell number in question. I would like to have the carpet replaced, installed by competent installers, and replaced in a timely manner.
