I had the contractor do some work on our property putting a metal roof on. We paid him half down so he can get the Materials. My wife and I work out of state so he requested to be paid in full. We paid him $6000. He said he would finish the project. On the backside of our park model is not finished. This has been going on for three months now. I’ve sent him several text messages. I’ve called him he said he would come and get it done three weeks ago. Still not done. I have sent him several text messages. I have called him several times. Give him a deadline when I need it done. Which is today and still not done. He has been paid in full and is not wanting to come back to finish it.

Although this complaint was not resolved through BBB's self-regulation process, the consumer advised the BBB that the company resolved this matter.

I spoke with the owner ***** ******** ****** on 3/9/21 and her now husband is ***** ****** in charge of labor. He hired several guys one being his son to install a metal roof. I paid half up front at contract signing by check for $6250.00 which cleared bank May 26. They started work on June 7th by taking off old metal roof then his wedding was around this time. He did not get supplies in advance for his crew. My roof poured water into almost all rooms, closets and even was coming in through light fixtures. I messaged several times, documented and took pictures. Once he returned, he would only get a few sheets of plywood at a time and the crew could only work a few hours a day til he went the next day to get more. He asked me to call the metal company and pay for the metal roofing and delivery and deduct it from balance owed. The total was remaining of $12,500 as agreed upon. I have metal receipts. Bringing us to July 13th, there were still 2 pieces of metal missing and plywood. My husband told him to drop them off and we would put them up. We wanted to replace all the ceilings and walls that were damaged because it was very hot and we were worried about mold and our kids. They both said the metal company was waiting on green. I waited several days and messaged both several times, same story. I called the metal place myself, they make their own and it was ready in 2 days. It didn’t rain for a while at end of summer bringing us to August 11 it rained and was leaking in 4 places, one being into the top of my furnace. August 18 They had COVID. Bringing us to 10/23 I messaged and asked how we would resolve leaking. Said an additional 2 pieces missing on top of roof and ***** messaged he would get them 11/5, then 11/8 they said we’re coming. I have ring pics and video him saying what work needed done to stop leak on my ring camera. I messaged 11/21 and 12/28 as it still leaking and never came back. I would rather be compensated but would settle for fixed right, unreliableCustomer response

At this time, I have been contacted by To the Moon Roofing regarding complaint ID ******** both in text and person. I have text and video of them saying what needs to be done to correct and resolve the issue. However, no action was actually taken on their part an I believe our next step will be to take them to court for a resolution.Thank you for your time,
