New China Garden Buffet in downtown Huntington. We called last Thursday, August 18th, 2022, placed an order, were told it would be 10-15 minutes, went to pick up after 15 minutes, were told it woild be another 15 minutes and they were not that busy. Okay so we waited, paid for and picked up our order, and took it straight home. After getting home and getting reasy to eat, we discovered that the food was old, hard, and the meat we ordered was tough and unappetizing. I called the restaurant to report this and was asked three times how I placed my order to which I politely explained three times and then was told that I would have to return the food to the restaurant to get either a replacement or a refund. So I returned the food, told them I wanted a refund because we had lost our appetite for the food by this time, and was told I would be refunded my money. And by the next day on August 19th, 2022, I saw in my account that the money had been refunded for $33.87. Then, we saw on our bank account on August 20th, 2022, that there was a debit for the amount $33.87 originally refunded by NCGB. So I called them and asked to speak to a manager to try to resolve this as I still had my receipt for the refund we were given, was put on hold for several minutes, then hung up on.
