I purchased a new ******* *** electric cart on 8- 24-23 for $4500. from Millwood Power Sports. It was on sale because it is a 2022 model and they wanted to make room for the new models. I explicitly ask what the warranty is on the batteries having some concern this model sat on their showroom floor for one year. I was told by the salesmen the warranty on the batteries is six months. I also received an owners manual with the cart that states " all ******* vehicles shall have a warranty period of six months from the date customer takes possession". After getting the cart home I charged the batteries as recommended in the owners manual. I drove the cart on our property and discovered the battery charge only lasted for a little over two hours, which I estimated was between two and three miles. Prior to purchase I questioned other ******* owners that I know about expected duration after a full charge. The consensus was you can drive all day after a full charge. Their website claims 20 to 25 miles on a full charge depending on conditions. I assume the batteries weren't charged properly during the last twelve months while sitting idle and the reason why they don't work properly now and will not function properly going forward. I called Millwood Power Sports when I discovered the batteries are no good and spoke with the salesmen. He agreed that the batteries need replaced and he would look into getting replacements. I called back the next day (8-30-23) and was told by the salesmen there is no warranty on the cart or the batteries. I ask him about being told by him when purchased that there is a six month warranty he said "that's just how it is nothing he can do about it". I don't blame the salesmen I think he's just doing what he's instructed to do. Businesses shouldn't be able to sell new vehicles with a warranty and then not honor the warranty. That is the only protection consumers have when dealing with issues. Millwood Power Sports offers zero customer service.Business response

Mr. *********** complaint should be with the manufacturer. We also thought Batteries were under warranty for 6 months from purchase by customer. Only to find out that it's 6 months from which we (Dealer) purchase from ******** I'm aware the manual states 6 months as well from customer purchase.. We have passed everything on to the manufacturer and are awaiting a response. We have had the cricket for a year in inventory. That's why we sold it at cost to Mr ********* along with a motor bike discounted as well. I was shocked to see a BBB complaint. However; were waiting on a response from ********...Customer response

I paid the business 2700.00 down on a side by side in May of this year. I have not had it 30 days yet, it has broke down twice, the company has it tore down, has been tore down over 2 weeks, no update on parts, it only has 83 miles on it. I don't want this product, and the business owner is not working with me. What are my options. I'm getting ready to pay a payment to Synchrony bank, and I don't even have this product in my possession.Business response

Since the filing of this complaint the consumer has agreed to take action against our supplier along with our support. Parts had been an issue from the supplier, as of 6/29/23 the needed parts for repairs have been shipped and tracking numbers provided. JBH
