For personal reasons, we decided on 4/30/24 to cancel our extended warranty with Route 66 (according to the contract terms and conditions). **** in Finance dated our cancellation effective 5/1/24. At the time he said it would ***********-8 weeks for Route 66 to process the prorated refund. We called on 6/5/24, 7/5/24, and 8/2/24 to request the status of the refund from ****. During the last call on 8/2/24 @ 2:50 PM **** stated that they were ready to mail the check to us on the following Monday 8/5/24. Our lender has still not received the check as of 8/13/24, and according to **** the Sales Manager, Route 66 mails the check, not *****'s RV. So we have no confidence regarding who is telling the truth. Personally I don't have any confidence that we will ever receive the prorated refund we requested. According to **** the check should have been around $850. This issue has been unresolved for 3 1/2 months. (I'm only entering the prorated refund amount I received from **** in the amount box below.)I can provide a complete copy of the service contract if you need it.Customer response

We received more information from **** the Sales Manager. According to him, a check was mailed by Sonnys RV to our lender. The check was #***** and the amount was $1,990.44. (This amount is considerably higher than the $850 amount provided by **** in Finance.) During my last call with **** on 8/13/24 @ 2:34 pm he was going to find out if the check has been cashed by their bank. We have not received a call back from ****, and we dont know the date they mailed the check. Please adjust the amount in my complaint to match $1,990.44. At the time we created this complaint, the lender confirmed they had not received a check from Sonnys RV.Customer response

I am pleased to say that we have been able to confirm via the September statement from our lender that the refund was applied as a principal payment to our loan. You may close this complaint as resolved. (Its sad that it took Sonnys RV 4 months to resolve this issue.)
