This complaint is being filed against Klover K Paint and Auto Body. The truck was scheduled for drop off 8/20/23 for PDR. After 3 different occurrences of being told the truck was complete, but in fact was not and giving Klover K multiple opportunities to correct the work, we picked up the truck for the final time on 09/08/23. At this time, ***** stated he had took the truck as far as he could go, but we could take it to another shop for repair and he would pay to have it fixed. We took the truck, Monday morning, to another local body shop for an estimate for the remaining work. Under fluorescent lights, there is still hail damage. The clear coat is burned through, including several spots along the passenger side of the truck where the paint had water bubbles that popped, exposing the metal. The paint is also thicker in certain spots due to not being sanded down properly. The driver side mirror is still not repaired, and the chrome trim on the pickup has hail damage, both of which should have been sent to insurance as a supplement according to *****. The insurance company stated that Klover K ***************************** Body never sent in supplements to be approved, prior to painting or PDR work done. We met with ***** on Wednesday 9/13/23 to discuss the estimate received from the other body shop. We negotiated with ***** to give us the insurance check back, plus $1,000 for the poor work done, which would then be half of the estimate provided from the other shop, and that we would pay the difference. He agreed to the amount of $2,542.53 and said he would have it paid by that Friday. On Friday, 9/15/23, we contacted ***** via text message asking if the check was ready for pickup. ***** said he did not have the money and that we would need to wait until Monday or Tuesday of the next week. ***** has yet to pay the agreed amount as of 11/3/2023. We are asking that he pays the agreed amount of $2,542.53 for damages rendered on the pickup due to his poor workmanship.Business response

We gave the customer several options of how to fix the issue but they did not want any body filler put on the *********** stated that we do not do the *** kind of work and I paid $1,000 for that to be taken care of as far as then $2542.53 from insurance for hail repair, if that company wants money back i will be happy to talk to the insurance company about itCustomer response

I am rejecting this response because:Klover K Paint and Body did not give us several options. Prior to work being initiated on our pickup, ***** was contacted asking if he did hail damage repair. He said yes. They also made a public ******** post stating they would be bringing in a PDR team to do the work. After giving the business 3 different opportunities to correct the work on the pickup is when we refused any other option from them. That is when ***** had verbally agreed to pay for the work to be fixed if taken elsewhere. We agreed verbally and through text messages of the amount of $2542.53, which he did not fulfill his part of the agreement. This amount was to give us the insurance check of $1,542.53 back, plus $1,000 for remaining PDR work left on the pickup from the new estimate received, which the business agreed to do. We filed a BBB claim against the business the beginning of November. After the claim had been filed with the BBB, the business contacted us saying they had $1,000 to give us then, and they would have the remaining funds to us at a later date. We did collect the $1,000. We followed up with the business the beginning of December for the remaining $1,542.53 due to us, and ***** stated that since third parties are involved, he will no longer pay, once again breaching his agreement to pay the funds. He says he will speak with the insurance company but refuses to contact them nor respond to calls. He never even submitted supplementals to our insurance company while doing the work on our pickup. We filed with the BBB after giving him several opportunities to pay the agreed amount and he had yet to do so. Screenshots are attached to this for confirmation. We are asking for the business to pay the remaining funds of $1,542.53 to us, which was agreed on multiple times.

I have had two vehicles fixed at this body shop and I have had multiple issues with both. One has been back to the shop 3 times and currently needs repainted as the paint does not match. My daughter's ****** legacy had a front end/fender collision and was initially fixed about a year ago. Over the past year, the front bumper has had to be put back on multiple times. It has been back to the shop at least 6 times. In December, the body shop ordered and painted a new bumper, left it on their showroom floor and would not install the new bumper. I purchased clips and had it attempted to be put on. During this, it was found that the bumper will not stay on the vehicle as the vehicle fender was never repaired properly. I have made multiple attempts to have this shop fix this vehicle and correctly, and they have yet to do so. They were paid to do this job by *** ***** insurance. They have yet to complete this job. In my opinion, this is complete insurance fraud and bad business. Also, being a business, they should NEVER let their personal life affect the work they complete. The work should be completed properly and with integrity. It is very disheartening that the Owner Jared K******* continues to complete this type of work. Attached are the pictures that I was given when the bumper was attempted to be reinstalled. At this point, I am going to reach out to a different body shop, obtain an estimate and he should be required to pay that shop as he is not able to complete the job that he stated not only to myself but to insurance. attached you will find the fender that was supposedly replaced and clearly it shows it was attempted to be fixed and this is the current state. I would also like him to provide proof of company insurance as well as a collision endorsement for his business.Business response

We have reviewed the Complaint received and believe it to be without merit. The customer has a personal relationship with an ex-partner of our business and having reviewed the complaint and the purported evidence, we dispute the complaint. Customer’s boyfriend has worked on the vehicles since they left our shop, this matter occurred over a year ago, and when it was brought to our attention, we attempted to resolve the issue. Even if a refund were appropriate, the appropriate recipient would be Customer’s insurer, not Customer. After many years in this business, we have received overwhelmingly positive response for our work and believe there are ulterior motives behind this Complaint.
